Time to start a running "in" list.

Ride Name: Tucson meets Phoenix Part Deux (all others welcome)
Date: Weekend of January 14-15, 2012
    Meeting Time: 9:00AM
Meeting Location: (Jan 14th) Charouleau Gap staging area (Jan 15th) Last Chance Circle K (Tanque Verde Road)
    Difficulty: Mid-Moderate
Notes: This ride has become more moderate than last year, they graded the trail from the staging area to the cattle guard. You still have to traverse the stream below and there are some steep climbs and decents. We will have the side trip for those who want a little challenge. Lunch at the Oracle Inn and then either retrace or slab back. Dinner Saturday night at a yet to be selcted location, breakfast Sunday morning and then out to Redington Road. We will create a new route this year which includes Belota Ranch loop.

Maybe IN. I hate being vague but I may be in China at the time. The trip has not been finalized as of yet. So, if I am here I am IN.

3:47 am, really Big-E. Do you ever sleep?

What's the character of the ride? In the middle of Pork Fest & Coke Ovens? MIles & is the one day deal. I'd be on my CRF 450X.

    Thanks:ear

Looks like I'm out for Saturday's ride, but might be able to make it Sunday!

I'd say it's probably close to a Coke Ovens level of difficulty. Coke Ovens+, depending on the weather (snow/ice potential in spots). Have you seen the RR from this year?

Hmmm...leans more toward Coke Ovens than it does Pork Fest. Saturday is only about 45 miles round trip. Sunday will be about 60 with a couple gnarly climbs and drops. Fantastic scenery in both cases. I know several folks that could do either of these rides on a 990, but I would stick with a 650 or less. A 450 X is perfect.

I went over the handlebars and completely bent all fingers on the left hand back. I went to the Dr to get X rays and nothing was broken, but it's still sore at times and it took 6 months to be able to make a fist.

As far as I am concerned, they are firm. I just had to know I wasn't riding it by myself :-)

Obviously Big E you neva been to China. They love pork so much they let their pigs sleep in the bed with them. They say it makes the meat more tender. Although, don't you like your bacon crisp?
