Sounds like a plan! Good luck. Oh, and what tank bag is that? I've been looking for one like that. Looks like the underlying mat straps to the bike and then the bag to it?

Enjoy the freedom of the road! Keep your head on straight and stay way ahead of that bike to be safe and you won't be a TURD...that's the acronym we Navy flight instructors used for a select few of our student naval aviators - Totally Unreliable & Really Dangerous. :pynd

Not sure if it fits in your plans, but NM Rt 104 between Tucamcari and Las Vegas, NM is a great road.

I believe it’s a Tourmaster. It’s the only one if owned but I really like it.

And basically, yes. If I take the bag off, which I almost never do on a trip, the mat comes with the bag too, just works easier that way.

I recommend it it’s got a big map window on the front and is simple and functional.

This state is so dynamic. I did 345 miles yesterday and pretty sure I saw all different kinds of desert, grassland, foothills, 13k+ peaks, forests, mesas, farmland, urban, you name it I prob saw it. So far so freakin good. Leaving for Colorado today but man I could spend some more time here in a heartbeat.

Well, as most of you have probably gathered, updating this thread on the road is going to be difficult and sparse due to lack of cell reception and just general time constraints, been too busy enjoying myself to keep up on it like I planned. I suppose that’s a good thing though! In Ft. Collins right now though and have some time to post some stuff.

Hey y’all. I made it home safe and sound yesterday. 4 weeks on the road and 6,000+ miles later. Sorry for completely neglecting this thread. I will be posting some pics and words in the next few days.
