I like that idea as well. If anyone here is a master photo shopper they could help by making one up. If I get time later on I'll take a stab at it.

edit: Here is link to updated pics of logo. It's just a rough draft at this point and obviously needs a little tweaking.

Here's what I came up with, so far , , , , Still plenty of room for comment and improvements. If anyone else wants to post a better or more popular design I welcome that as well. I know there are folks here that have better PC skills than I do.

We may have to take a vote on the color. If we wind up doing two colors the price would go up significantly.

Alright I guess we can officially start the count. I put a link to the post in my signature.
Please check there if you want a shirt and make sure you're on the list.

INITIAL COSTS WOULD BE $20 UNLESS WE GET A GOOD AMOUNT OF PRE-ORDERS.
LAST YEAR WE WERE ABLE TO GET A GOOD ORDER AND REDUCED THE COST. FOR NOW WE WILL ASSUME $20 OR LESS A PIECE. ANY PROFITS WILL BE FORWARDED TO BALDY.

Great job. Thanks for you effort.
    Comments.
PAR emblem should be on front only. Pensacola Area Riders should be outside the oval.
Put TT emblem where the star is in Floida but make it as big as possible. I like that totem.

I like hi vis yellow. Orange is too KTMish.

    Thanks again for the effort.

To all. These tee shirts need to be FUNDED. last year Tomcat provided up front. I suggest we prepay if possible to help out

I agree. Tomcat can set up a paypal and say have all orders in by say 9/15 to allow time for order to be processed. And it gives us KLR guys time to scower the ditches for aluminum cans.

Will work on it some more and update later on this weekend. Thanks for the input guys. We'll figure something out on the funding. Paypal sounds like a good suggestion. But it would require everyone to have a PayPal account.

With that much lead time a check in the mail would work also.

Since no one EVER goes back to the first page here is info to new comers... see first page also...

    Turkey Trot 8

    Wilderness Landing

    Black Water State Park Area

    OCTOBER 21 - 22 - 23

N 30 48.095 W 86 45.993 (careful with those coordinates – there are multiple formats out there - see different ones below)

Come out and join PAR for its annual gathering. Everyone is welcome. Even if you’re not riding come out and see what’s happening around the Pensacola area.

This is a no fee event. Ride at your own risk. If you do not have adequate insurance I suggest you do NOT ride.

There will be GPS tracks for each ride. We are still confirming routes and will publish routes when complete.

All rides (except street ride) are short loops designed to get you back to campsite within ONE TANK. There is no food or gas available on these rides. Riders are encouraged to form their own small group and venture out for their own experience.

    THE RIDES

Street Bike Ride 1 – 200 miles with only dirt to get to event (approx. 2 miles of good road). Scenic ride to all the Black Water Lakes and Open Pond in Alabama. Food and gas on route. Easily modified and shortened.

Adventure Bike 1 – 77 miles of challenging street and dirt roads for the larger off road worthy bikes.

Adventure Bike 2 - 60 miles of easy but scenic street and dirt roads.

Dual Sport North 1 – 52 miles of two track/dirt roads and very little pavement. This rides take you by Bear Lake and Hurricane Lake and over some of the best BW has to offer.

Dual Sport North 2 – 40 miles of two track/dirt roads similar to 1N only this route goes to Karick Lake. Some sections are shared by these two routes.

Dual Sport North 3- 44 miles of dirt roads and street with visits to Bear, Hurricane, and Karick lakes. Easy enjoyable ride. Good for beginners, two up, family, husband and wife or anyone just wanting to have an easy ride in the forest.

Dual Sport West 1W – 50 mile challenging two track/dirt road ride down to Black Water State Park and back.

Dual Sport West 2W – 40 mile two track/dirt road ride through west area and back.
    Other information

Primitive Camping Only – There are BATHROOMS AND SHOWERS on site.

Take out what you brought in.

Plenty of camping space for large rigs (easy access). Trot Camping to the Right as you come in. This is a public site so there may be others there.

Tent camping down close to river, hammock camping in special wooded area and then generator camping closer to the entrance. It will be obvious when you get there.

Motels and everything else are in Crestview and Milton (exits 45 and 55 on interstate) each about 20 miles from campsite.

Good food and gas in Baker FL about 10 miles from campsite.

There are many ways to get to the site but the best way (meaning the most pavement) is from Norman Riley Road and then East on Corduroy Rd – improved dirt road for about 1 mile and then another mile down two lane to Wilderness Landing. There will be LARGE signs.

Bring your own food and gas to the site. Dr. Philgood will cook breakfast on Saturday and lunch Saturday if there is interest. This worked pretty well last year.

Tee Shirts (different design) will be available again this year! Check site and order early!

    Hope everyone can make it.

Thanks to all who help make this even happen.

LOCALS - I need RIDE LEADERS and preriders who can follow GPS...yes we still have plenty of time...

Hey Vic, trying to get my wife and kids to come camp the days before or after the event. Any idea if they will have the restrooms open? I thought I heard last year that they are usually closed due to vandalism. Thanks!

I normally show up on Thur. Last year they were open already and we're open till Monday afternoon.

No promises but folks that run the place were very accommodating.

I will be checking with them soon and let everyone know.

FYI - Crestview exit is 56 not 55. I want the most challenging track (no pavement) there is, so it looks like DS W 1 for me. hehe
I still think this should be a fall fest or Halloween ride, Tday is a month away..
That being said bring your best costumes since Halloween is the following weekend.

    SHIRTS.........

I've done a little tweaking on the logo and design. It's a long time out so still plenty of time for suggestions and/or improvements. Here is the updated front, and I also updated the post on the first page (LINK IN MY SIGNATURE) to reflect the new back.
