Hope you're doing better. I'm still recovering from fatigue. I had no idea how tired I was. I actually walked a lot and rode very little.

I hate when that happens. You looked a bit tired when I talked to you for a minute when you were by the fire. Then you disappeared. Before you know it, you will be back to normal and messing with DRZ springs again. :D

QUOTE="Davebert, post: 30652654, member: 143877"]Leak down test is always a good start. But like I mentioned, it could be the CCV (crankcase vent) sucking vaporized oil into the suction port on the carb. There are some mods for that where you use a longer hose and reroute it. I would search for mods involving that. And then there are the valve stem seals. But I think you may try some tricks with the crankcase vent mods first. Check all the tubes/hoses going to catch cans/charcoal canisters and valve covers for oil.[/QUOTE]

Talked to my mechanic today and he laughed at me. He said " Man, I rode your bike the last time it was in here. There's nothing wrong with it. It sips a little oil like all 530's! Flog the shit out of it and top it off when your done". I also told him my bike won't power wheelie in 4th like I heard other bikes will. He said "the hell it won't.. you just don't know how to ride it"!

It was little humbling but he was right :clap.

Maybe about the wheelie part. :D But a leak down test will confirm if the rings are where the problem is (or find valve problems). Valve stem seals won't show up in a leak down test. But if you find oil in the CCV or other related hose/tubes, that is where the oil is getting out by getting sucked into the carb and burnt and out the exhaust.

Karen found a heads up penny. :y0! Or is this where she is trying to snort that 2-stroke generator exhaust of Tony's with that reefer additive?

I moved to Florida from Wisconsin where 50F is a nice summer's day.
For the record, I had socks and shoes on in addition to shorts.
Didn't want to get too close to the fire or I'd of started to sweat :)
