OG, man sounds like that happened right after I left. Sorry to hear that brother! FWIW im not sure of the difference between the procedure you’re facing vs a knee replacement, but one of my brothers has had both knees replaced and they say as long as you don’t skimp on the PT, you can come back pretty darned quick.
Let me know if I can do anything to help.

that’s a deal Bro I’ll take ya up on that one

That’s funny Tony, that’s exactly what I thought of when the doc saw the shock and disappointment on my face, he immediately went into “ yes it’s bad but we can rebuild it” But he didn’t say anything about stronger, Better, faster.....he left that part out!!!!

Thank you Mike, appreciate the prayers and offer of help, I know they’re both for real.

Thank you Jeff and family for all your help, Outstanding display Marines!

Good info Rick thank you. Total knee was discussed but intel says go the repair route first. Still an option if they get in there, open it up, and it really is a clusterf*%$@. One of the problems is,,,time and rehab. He wants to do the patella tendon first but the other stuff needed for rehab is not hooked up, even if they can do both patella and ACL in same surgery, still a problem rehabbing due to MCL and meniscus damage, also, right where he needs to attach a plate to anchor tendons, the bone is broke and chipped, etc..

Gotta stop now, starting to get depressed....

The PAR family is pulling for you OG. You need you ask you get.

Injuries are bad enough but when they take you away from something you love its a double bitch.

    I always remember this one,

When someone says "it could be worse"

    You've already been fucked over.

    Get well soon

Trent Robinson, Randall, Fernado, and Dan Walker stopped by Sunday morning. Trent asked me if I had seen his dad's cross. I said not yet. I meant to go and check it out. Im glad Trent is back to riding with his gang again. Good video. I wish I could have made that ride, it looked fun. Thanks Jeff for the video.

Dear Blue Garrett, Remember that guy that kept calling you all scared he was going to die and if he didn't die, most likely would not ride again? And then when the dust settled, there stood Grace and life. Stronger, better, faster! It happens:clap
And that Bloke is living proof. Wonder where he is now?

    OG,

You WILL get thru this and be able to do just about everything you did before it happened...it is just going to take a little while.

My youngest daughter has had three ACL reconstructions...yea, I know you only have two but she had to have one done twice (soccer injuries).

I'd go for the cadaver option...if not then you'll have both legs hurting. The daughter used her own the first time and cadaver parts on #2 and #3...all work about the same now.

    OG,

These speed-bumps in life are a bitch but good news is now you've got time to start that auto-biography (it will definitely get made into a movie...huge bucks); you can catch up on your reading (War and Peace, all that Shakespeare stuff, I guess porn counts); binge-watch the Sopranos, Breaking Bad, Justified, the Americans, Boardwalk Empire, Fox news in general; maybe it's time to look into a Slingshot (you could ride/drive that bitch with one leg). Damn, I'm starting to get jealous of you, you son of a bitch.

    Love you bro'...long time.

Initially was just gonna keep the 40 year old cutie around the campsite....

Temptation was too great. She wanted to be spanked anyway.

:(Well I missed the Trot. I prepped the XC-W and was hoping to come out Thursday or Friday but I am made of sugar and will melt in the rain. If someone told me 10 years ago I would be chasing points in an MX series at 52, I would think they were nuts. But as it turns out, I am the one that is nuts. So Saturday was prep day for the Sunday race at Monster Mountain and I don't have the willpower to stand by the trot fire and behave :puke1so... had to skip. I have heard a lot about this track and it did not disappoint. I came up about 10 feet short on a big triple on the first lap of practice and thought I broke both of my ankles. The pain was ridiculous and I was on the seat for the rest of practice until feeling came back. Pretty gun shy the rest of the day. I couldn't risk another impact. In the second moto though, I got a good start and was running second to one of the fast guys (multiple classes on same gate) I matched his speed and easily cleared that triple. ( I may have to change my screen name) Anyway, I hated to miss the trot but will have to make one of the Blackwater rides very soon. Please post-em up! Vic, Ill have to get my shit(haha) from you sometime.(hope you still have it) OG- I am wearing the black fox jersey you gave me in that start photo. It was cold and it fit over my chest protector. Went 1-1 in +45 and 4-3 in 2-stroke open. 2001 RM 250!!!

What track were you riding Jeff? Was it one of Vic's TT routes or your own personal stash of BW? Don't recognize a lot of it and would like to check it out.....mind sharing the GPS tracks?? Looks like A LOT of nice trails!
