Used to make the Blind Lizard and Bearded Lady events quite a bit. Haven’t been recently. Sorry to hear of his passing.

I am planning to go. Current plan is to drive up Sat am and ride Sat and Sun. I won't be camping.

I belong to the club and have ridden there twice this summer on a couple of their less formal events.

Does anyone know what steam engine train is in town? I heard the whistle 3 times tonight in the southwest burbs.
    Very cool to hear.

More than likely the Milwaukee 261. It ran weekend dinner train trips this past weekend.

Hoping for 50 degrees next week. Good to ride as long as we don't have a salt-the-roads event.

I posted this earlier in the Friday Music Thread and I thought I’d share it here...
I lost a good friend recently, way too soon. We used to share music and I borrowed his CD so I could have this song and the others in my library. I remember he’d get pissed when I found a new band to share before he did
I think of him often on Fridays as I am alone at work and use my ipod to listen to music.
I looked for this song and found this live version which I think shows the spirit of the band
If you've never heard of them I'm happy to introduce you......

He named his Black Grand Cherokee “Amanda"

I’ll add for the benefit of some background
when I first met Kevin I didn’t kow much about him so when he offered to drive I said sure
after a block in that Jeep I had the “never ride in one of Kevins vehicles again” moment
I would continue, but that’s another story....and who doesn’t love those?

    For Kevin (Metallic Waste)

I’ll never hear this song again without thinking of him

    Hey Gang,

It looks like the butcher that has been processing our venison scraps into sausage and other finely ground and smoked delicacies, due to change in ownership, is no longer in this line of business.
So, my question to the hunting collective is, do any of you have a place that grinds your V scraps into smoky goodness that you would care to share?
We typically like summer sausage, beef sticks (spicy), and breakfast meat as our staples for the trim.
    TIA
    Rich

Buy a sample of their jerky and meat sticks - very worth it!

That is the plan, go and get some samples of a few places. Another friend recommended Osseo Meats.
I now have at least 3 places to sample from.

Thanks!!!! Any other recommendations gladly taken.
