I spent the weekend painting my house, so when Nutzky called me Sunday night inviting me to ride on Monday I couldn't resist. Our playground for the day was Ocala National Forest.

I met Nutzky at a gas station where we ate true ADV food, gas station fried chicken, mmmmmm.

Damn, my helmet got in the way.

ColtGovt and JayDee1445 showed up on the 950's

I wiped out climbing this sand hill. I wish I had taken a picture of the KLX sitting upside down on the top of the hill.

Nutzky hates hills, Here he is bailing out after deciding not to ride down it.

We came across a sandpit where the KLX's performed well. Here's ColtGovt on his beautiful 950 watching Nutsky play in the sand.

I managed to get a picture of Nutzky while he was still, and not on the ground.

I was impressed how well Jaydee1445 and ColtGovt handled the big KTM's in the sand. I rode Colt's KTM for about ten feet before I was on the ground.

We went in off Cr455 on FR 538 to 539 to 540. The sand pit is the one in Deerhaven.

    Cool:clap

Which ones are better in the sand? KTMs or the other ones? Or is it related with the drivers?

The sand at Ribtoberfest kicked my ass so I'm heading up to ONF Saturday AM for a rematch. Anyone else?

    Uzay,
Alot of it is the rider. The 250 are alot lighter so the front tire will "float" on the sand at a slower speed.
The 950 is alot heaver so you need big balls to gas it. I keep thinking of those $1300 gas tanks if I really crash it.

    RPWW,
The rain has helped alot. The powerlines aren't as bad when we did them w/ Flux. Saturday sounds good, but I need to pick Wife up @ airport @ 12 am so not up to heading out too early.

I saw that rain and thought to myself, "I bet it's gonna be great up at ONF. Wish I could make it up there."

Lemme know if/when you can make it.

Dude Sully aint joking, after i went over the bars at the Roller coaster, heights freak me out it is worse than it looks in the pictures though. Hey guys like My wipeout . er not one to excuse myself for having funbut running 25 psi in the sand makes it wash out from under as you can see. brought it down to around 12, me on no stinking round no more for the afternoon.
Thanks sully for the report. You can see in he video before I fell that i was going pretty straight at around 50 mph on sugar sand, too slow and you sink, you will still make it but you will be very tired by wrestling the motorcycle.

Jd TAlked to Brian today, might do something on the weekend in Whisky Watchee.... Don't know yet..... Dirt , Sand or Mud hummmmm...
