Pretty cool, even with limited range.
My dad's first motorcycle was mainly used to check on the cattle. Sure beat walking, and went places he couldn't go in the truck.
Just bumpin' for this neat machine...
A positive review over @ Cycle World; https://www.cycleworld.com/ubco-2x2-first-ride-review/
And appears the folks were representin' at this year's AIMExpo; https://advrider.com/ubco-2x2-electric-motorcycle-aimexpo-2019/
wonder if you can turn one of the motors off to extend range when not needed..
Cross-posted from the comments section of the article about the Ubco 2x2 on Cycle World:
"With the 2X2 weighing in at 144 pounds, you’re not going to be carrying it upstairs into an apartment or house..."
I don't see why you couldn't have a plank or narrow ramp laid over the stairs directly below the handrail and walk the bike up under power. Heck, with two wheel drive you could probably walk it up anyway without the ramp.
hub motors won't last. They don't hold up to the harshness/vibration. The ideal of a 2wd bike is cool but so far not practical.
I wonder why vibrator motors last so long...
Got to go old school.
