Ive got the 12th-16th of Sep off, anyone wanna go on a trip let me know. Trying to find a mixed route dirt/pavement big bike friendly... Also open for route suggestions leaving from the bay area. Just need to get out for a few days before work gets crazy!

I might be down to join, although probably not for 5 days straight but for 3 days perhaps. We could also meet and do a more local ride some time next weekend to discuss this longer trip!

I have been planning on a solo trip to Yosemite and Mammoth lakes area next weekend (14th-16th). If anyone wants to make it a group ride that would be cool. I know a few good spots to explore and camp in that area.

As much dirt a possible. Unfortunately coming from the bay area headed east involves alot of street.

Sounds interesting! I've went camping/hunting to Stanislaus on my bike but not deep, but would be willing to go deeper with a group and explore stuff off the beaten paths too!

Just a heads up, 108 is now closed again due to fire. 395 has a detour due to fire. Just came through there 2 days ago and had to go over 4, almost all fresh blacktop with a 1 lane just outside of Murphy.

OK, I'm back in the States so

It's time to start thinking about the 2019 Arivaca Outback Here's the skinny:

    Dual Sport Desert Days
will again be joining us for this year.

Date: The weekend of March 15, 2019.
Notes: We are moving the date up to mid-March so it will be warmer for all those camping. The last two years have been pretty cold at night so since we are all getting older and wiser (maybe), we're changing that.

Location: My place - 18180 Arivaca/Sasabe Road, Arivaca AZ, 85601
Notes: This year we are going to base all operations here. Any vehicles like giant RVs that we cant handle are directed to the La Siesta Camp grounds where there are facilities that can handle them.

Acommodations: As above and several other places that will be listed on out web site.

Activities: Since this will be the tenth year we've done this, we'll stick to the formula that works: eat, drink, ride (not necessarily in that order.

Please refer to the Arivaca Outback page for the whole story.

    https://sites.google.com/site/arivacaoutback/home

I've been on the road in the US, Canada, Portugal, since mid August and am writing this on a little tablet so there are bound to be mistakes which I hope you will graciously point out to me. I should be home in Arivaca Monday the 12th of November at which time I can look at this more carefully.

    More Later,

I will be in Monterey area for the Quail gathering next May . Duddle's twin engine Triumph has been accepted into the show and I'm the last guy to get in the Quail ride , I'll be on this.
