Hopefully, the old humans who had the old bikes in this forum can post some of their old photo images of themselves from those days.

This is me, a bit blurry, looking rather.....dashing(?) in my very well-worn waxed cotton Belstaff jacket, my trusty Suzuki GT750L waiting outside. Circa 1974....

Circa 1982, living in the Florida Keys with my brand new 750F purchased from Key West Honda. Let's just say it was a good time to be 21 years old living in southern Florida:D

I'm 20, it's early 1974...the bike is a Triton, a wideline featherbed with an alloy head T110. This is not a Cafe, it's a retired uncompetitive race bike now on the street....it will be the theme of this post. All the fruit man, all the fruit.

    scan0016.jpg

The Rickman is playing up, early '77. Hard to find a half short in the zener before the days of multimeters....it was running on 6 volts. I saw this bike in one of it's last races, right at the back, being cleaned up by new 2 strokes half it's size. Only ex crims had short hair then, but I'd just cut off my wind tangled locks.

1981, this is an old racing outfit, 50's 650 BSA....16'' wheels, leading link forks, the real deal. I put a '72 A65 engine in it....built it in the lounge, and had to split it to get it out again. The first test ride, first time I'd ridden an outfit...came down the road full lock sideways. Got that sorted. The bike went back on the track for Classic Racing.

Here's a pic of me in New Mexico in 1979 a couple pf weeks after I rode my SR500 from New York to New Mexico. 1857 miles, 500 in pouring rain.
Jumping for joy I got there...
