STICKER IS GREAT! 'Calling' cards are good. Well done.
    Colleen's 2008 BMW R1200GS :)
We must be telepathic. All yesterday I was thinking of a design for your ADV sticker! Really. In my head it was the ADV oval with KIRAN on top and INDIA underneath!
    Whew!!!!!!!!!!

We will have to check for PCH ROUTE 1 closures before KIRAN departs and heads north from Lost Angeles. He may have to take the freeway. Possibly Carmel Valley road is closed through too from the freeway? I'm not sure of the location for the Rally. We have two weeks to go.

I have found a local website that lets me design and deliver at home at good price :) Tshirts, cards, stickers, embroidery and much more...I have literally sent them one order a day since last week hahaha
Ordered 3M reflective tapes too. Will all this stick well on those panniers (especially the area seen from tail side. looks like matt non sticky surface).

Being a workaholic, I dont get time at all to step out during day. Such home delivery sites are boon!

The Chevron reflective I get sticks to the panniers. $4 gets you enough. Stickers stick pretty good.

Monterey a week ago, so it's already gotten better it's only 18% contained at the moment though, but the event is over a week away so fingers crossed it's out long before then

It is a very big fire. It may not be completely out for a month or two. The good news for you is that it seems to be headed up the canyons to the southeast away from the coast. The coastal wind tends to blow inland, so hopefully it isn't smokey along the ocean. The fire should not affect the BMW event at Laguna Seca.

The fire department is frequently posting updated maps so you can check its progress.

It does not seem likely at this point, but if Highway 1 is closed when you are passing through the area, re-routing is less than a day out of your way. You will be able to reach Highway 101 or 5 south of the fire, then come back to Monterey through Salinas or Prunedale. If needed, ask TUCKERS about Nacimiento-Fergusson Road. :evil

If you don't feel you were able to see some spectacular coastline, Highway 1 north of San Francisco is very similar, though less remote.

Yeah it's smoky inland the air quality is actually much better on the coast then 50 miles inland. I would recommend avoiding 5 if at all possible most of 5 is very flat and boring, but it is fast

So as of right now the fire is South of the event, so hopefully it continues South, highway 1 is shutdown South of Monterey. Kiran can come up I 101 and head West on 68

Don't lift anything over 20 pounds. Have someone do it for you. Don't lift your bags, pay someone a dollar or two. Get a wheelchair on exiting the plane at Los Angeles, they are happy to do it and you will be treated royally. Take all the precautions you can.

Do you have a history of back aches? Been lifting a lot recently?

If not, maybe it is stress related.
