Thanks to a cable modem, WiFi, and a Dell notebook I'm laying on my living room sofa drinking some cheap french paint thinner and laughing out loud at what I'm reading here. I think my wife thinks I'm having an affair with all of you.

Any of you folks interested in a family included BBQ one of these weekends soon? I'd like her to meet you people so when I laugh out loud and tell her she'll never believe when fill in the blank just posted, she'll know who you are. Or is there something coming up were everything could be combined?

Steve, Ji, Tim, Barry, Paul? You guys interested? My wife is going to Europe for a couple of weeks (soon) and if we do a BBQ after she gets back we can also talk about Sep 2004.

I'll be here only this and next weekend and then I'm off to europe for 2 weeks. Let me know when and I'll be there, it's just a short hop to your house from here.

    Hi Andy,

I can make it if it's before Nov.

After that I'll be heading West for a month.

I think we're looking at later in Nov or early Dec. If it's early Dec my wife and CapoPaul will both be back and should have useful info about Europe.

Anybody have a string preference? How does Saturday, Dec 6th work for you'all?

Saturday Dec 6th, starting at 3PM. Significent others and children included. If the weather is nice I have a big deck and backyard. If the weather isn't nice I have a very small house that we can all jam into. Does McLean work for eveyrbody as a location?

Mine are seven (boy) and ten (girl). As people with kids let me know they're going to attend I'll try to keep a tally. If the weather is uncooperative I'll try to get an LCD projector from the office and set up a movie room for the kids. If Jabba and CapoPaul can be badgered into it, I may also get them to narrate a brief slide show about their trips. Very brief, of course, as in most cases the sig others won't be interested :):

Last year about that time we had snow on the ground, didn't we? I rode to work once (many years ago) when there was roughly 3 inches of snow on the ground and the roads hadn't been cleared; nothing wakes you up quicker than having to jump off your bike and drag it out of the way of the guy behind you that is in the process of sliding over you on his way to rear ending the guy in front of you.

When we get about two weeks out I'll get a list of people together and send out address / directions / map / etc.
