Weather channel (fuckers) are calling for 6 to 12" of snow in WVA above 3000 ft. Shit continues friday, saturday and lightens up a little on Sunday. WTF? It's April- dammit. Stay tuned.

The Weather Channel is a bunch of nay-sayers.

The snow is for Southwestern VA, at elevations above 2000 ', 3"- 6" at the most between Thrus. and Friday.

Worst news is we may have some rain between here and Moundsville. 80 % Friday night but just 50% Sat. Sunday is looking pretty clear.

    Things could change, hopefully.

In that case I might ride the GS. Anyone up for an Elefant Ride to the top of Spruce Knob? Might be a first for the east coast. :loco

Hope everyone doesn't bail because of a little moisture. With this group, it'd probably be worth the trip just to hear all the bench-adventure stories on Friday night. I'll bet there are a few worth reciting.... especially after the libations start flowing.

I swear I'm not making this up........ :nod

Ain't lookin' good boys... I'm leaning towards not riding around for 3 days in the rain. Yep - fair weather pussy breaking the ice for the rest of you who may want to bag this trip due to weather.

I'll confirm via phone and/or PM with Steve and Hunter on Thursday evening since one or both are meeting in McLean to ride down. I'll fire a post in the thread too...

    SHIT...

    :cry

Hey, fellows, how about next time you post the ride, then just do it?

10 pages of posting, then cancelling, is incredible.

Up here in Yankee country, we just get out and do it. Here's a picture from our ride last weekend:

That's real cute. You steal a picture from the same website posted four links before your email, and manage to get them to believe it. But the gallon beer can attached to the fairing is a classic. Only the Germans know how to party in the winter like that. That is what an Elafanten Treffen is all about. We should start the same tradition here.

But maybe I need to buy some TKCs first...... wonder if they make them for a K11RS?

Rain be damned, I ain't no fair weather pussy. Harpoon, I'll be there on Friday. Some of the best rides I've ever had started in crappy weather.
