Bunch of us did this last year, it was in the high 20's and short of a little ice, it was a hoot. I will be out there if anybody wants to meet up. Bring your AMA card, you get a discount, $9 AMA, $10 without.

This pic is from last year, Brother Jerry and His Highness Bob Higdon. Sign of the Whale is great watering hole too.

Sorry, gotta watch that PUI shit:1drink The Polar Bear Ride is always on New Years Day - very fitting that it starts at a pretty good bar. This will be the 20th year for the ride.

Not sure if that qualifies me as a real man, but I got to ride when I can until after ski season. 90 miles in the rain sounds like a good time with the right gear.

See ya Wednesday morning, not sure what time that will be contingent on the quality of the hang over.

Not sure, if it is raining probably just me, but she could be convinced to show up at the bars and keep the beer cold.

Better watch it or Fishy will accuse us of having another Virginia love in!

Keep me posted, I have to pick up the baby but I might be convinced to meet you guys somewhere depending on the weather and the level of my hangover.

Fish can kiss it, we're in the regional forum anyway.

wow, did ya buy me a Harley for Christmas?? :lol1 anyway a ride in the rain could clean off the RT. But...

    updated forecast:
New years day. Rain. Temperatures steady in the mid 40s. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 90 percent.

I don't mind the rain when it's above 50. plus you add in the hangover factor, rain and 40's doesn't look very good. I'll probably pass on this one.

Yeah I got your Harley, it's out front of your house disguised as a Teal R1150RT. You know, the one that stays under the cover when it might rain.

With the right gear the ride will be fine. I'll be there Phil. Nothing else to do.

I was going to leave between 9 and 10 depending on the level of hangover - got a shit load of good wine and a bottle of DP (champagne always works :evil) and two 1.5 lbs lobster tails - fuck the DUI checkpoints!

Give me a call when you leave and I will meet up with you at the Whale.

I plan on leaving my house around 9:15. Yahoo Maps says 1:15 minutes to go the 36 miles to the restaurant from my house. I'll be there around 10:00

I'll be recovering from a very bad, champagne induced hangover (champagne seems to be the worst for hangovers). I'm going riding today, not tomorrow.

The Tail of the Whale Restauarant on Arlington Boulevard in Falls Church, VA. See the Address in the first post of this thread.

BTW Phil, KRS clutch is starting to slip powering out of turns and under acceleration. I will be taking it easy for a while trying to nurse it for as long as I can. At least until the Ducati forks are ready. Oh well, another wrenching retard project for me. This one will be a big un.
