I was just starting to get all my gear, when I realized I'm way too freaking tired. Someone else get this one--besides, I've got a good idea for a Thanksgiving themed tag.

Well, maybe if you'd posted the tag at a civil war camp which still had beds, I wouldn't be complaining!:eatme :eatme :splat :splat

Isn't it sad I stayed up for another 5 minutes to wait for this response?

Judging by this incoming front, its time to pull out the rain pants and columbia jacket for my PM commute. I hope this little weather doesn't make the tag go stagnant.

    New TAG:

I was thinking of you and your need for a nap skippii, so here you go.

On a gap road named for a city in australia (not), its in augusta county, this road connects with a hill road name that could be for a type of rock used to make weapons.

I don't have a clue where this is, but if you want to tell me, I'll meet up with you for the ride.

Has anyone noticed it's POURING RAIN?

You two are certifiably crazy and lacking all common sense of self-preservation. I'll admit to being a total wuss. :dunno

Ride safe, eh? it's miserable out there... and it looks like it'll be ICE pretty soon :deal

AAAh yes, rain. You'll notice in the grab picture the ground is dry and in the tag picture it's wet. It started raining harder as I left grottos and became a down pour on the way to the special place. I was still going to ride to work tonight but the possibility of freezing temps. nixed that idea. Black ice sucks.

Met up with Skippii after work. Tag Time Rain or Shine. Almost missed this one but then again it was raining and pitch black. I identified the area by the grassy 6" 'curb' on either side of the road and knew I was getting close. Once I saw the logs, I drove over them and knew I was at the right spot.

After grabbing the tag and wiping the inside and outside of our visors to get as much blinding fog out as possible, we were off! We stopped at the Thomas House for dinner. I had the Chicken Casserole and Skippii had the Ribs. Delicious!

I had a goal to place it at a certain spot but it turns out that road was paved and not gravel...not what you want to find at night in the rain when no other ideas are close by. So I had to "wing" it (clue)

This tag is on a gravel road West of I-81.
This tag is just outside the town of Dayton.
Go behind the Mill and you will be on the right track(but not the road the tag is on exactly)

    TAG SHOT:
    <table style="width: auto;"><tbody><tr><td>[IMG]</td></tr><tr><td style="font-family: arial,sans-serif; font-size: 11px; text-align: right;">From VDST-Sidney Gap Rd</td></tr></tbody></table>

Another shot looking North up the road.
    <table style="width: auto;"><tbody><tr><td>[IMG]</td></tr><tr><td style="font-family: arial,sans-serif; font-size: 11px; text-align: right;">From VDST-Sidney Gap Rd</td></tr></tbody></table>

The "treasure" is at the bottom of this sign. During our meal at the Thomas House, Skippii noticed the screw holding this toy together is TRIANGULAR. Anyone have a triangular screw driver?

    <table style="width: auto;"><tbody><tr><td>[IMG]</td></tr><tr><td style="font-family: arial,sans-serif; font-size: 11px; text-align: right;">From VDST-Sidney Gap Rd</td></tr></tbody></table>

This is on the way to the tag. I wanted to place it using this building but alas.
    <table style="width: auto;"><tbody><tr><td>[IMG]</td></tr><tr><td style="font-family: arial,sans-serif; font-size: 11px; text-align: right;">From VDST-Sidney Gap Rd</td></tr></tbody></table>

    <table style="width: auto;"><tbody><tr><td>[IMG]</td></tr><tr><td style="font-family: arial,sans-serif; font-size: 11px; text-align: right;">From VDST-Sidney Gap Rd</td></tr></tbody></table>

This was going to be my clue from inside the Thomas House entryway.
    <table style="width: auto;"><tbody><tr><td>[IMG]</td></tr><tr><td style="font-family: arial,sans-serif; font-size: 11px; text-align: right;">From VDST-Sidney Gap Rd</td></tr></tbody></table>

FYI: Skippii and I parted ways at the Thomas House so I could go place this one. He didn't follow me and I never told him where I was going.

Hint: Using GIS can get you closer...

Actually you can get there exactly.

    Get us closer?

We really don't need to get closer...the first like, 10 google hits on that sign include bring up the address.
I'm picking it up right after breakfast.

Its not about the clues, its about the ride. I would have put more effort into placing it but it was dark and there was only so much I could see. I didn't have any other good spots I could have posted at night due to wet weather, poor lighting, and proximity to my location. Have at it Skippii. Breakfast for Lunch ...did you sleep in?

Sort of. Fell asleep early, then got really really sick around 4am.
