Dear H-D, please get rid of a cylinder, and then you might have a good ADV bike.

    ... with a 19" front wheel. :thumb

I'm not personally interested, but at least then it would make some kinda sense.

If you got a response, I'd take that as evidence that someone did see it & may be considering it since they wanted you to give up all rights to the concept.

Nah, it went like this: :(

Me: How do I submit an idea?
Them: Fill out this form (giving up all rights)
    Me: Submitted form and idea
    Them: Nothing

Yes, someone saw it alright, the company's legal department that vets every unsolicited idea before it gets into the hands of somebody within the company who could be influenced by it.

Let me explain this in a different way. There are many channels involved.
IP and legal are always going to ask for an exception of some sort, obviously, they are the lawyers.

The thing is with these intended communications to kawa we are not submitting any ideas, simply asking for the VX400 and certain features.
Manufactures harvest all this data from surveys, social media, web logs, complaints, letters, enthusiasts groups, events, etc...
Independently of market research, this data is now harvested, processed and shared with several departments including marketing and product development.
8 out of 10 companies making consuming products with strong brands are doing this to one degree or another.
So the more people write and talk asking for those things everywhere the biggest weight the subject or initiative has.

If they do not reply to folks posting everywhere it doesn't mean they are not watching and listening and taking note.

This is a fact across the industry, not my opinion.

I just asked for the VX-400 here...

Continue looking for several departments to send an actual letter.
Anyone interested submit your questions asking or the VX400 engine.

Put in my 2 cents worth on the link. Here is what I wrote.
“When will you update the Versys 300x with the Ninja 400 engine. I love my Versys 300 but would upgrade for the extra power. Ok if you improve seat while your at it.“

    nice!
    I got confirmation too.
Of course it doesn't hurt. Sooner or later someone has to listen.
look at Rally Raid making a good business with all the gaps manufactures leave open.

...and at least we can say it is not just speculation, we are actually reaching out.

There is a void in my life without recent speculation.
Someone please put up a grainy, blurry pic from 7,000 feet away of the unicorn.
Anything, even a crayon drawing will suffice.
