Is there a Vertigo thread somewhere I missed? I'm mostly just curious to lurk in the discussion. Sorry if I created a wasted thread.

Tryals Shop is supposed to get a demo bike sometime in the near future. I can't say I'm not curious about them. I've only briefly seen one, and owner wasn't riding. I might go down to Fox's Trials Barn in PA, and take a look at them.

I am also curious about them, thus the thread. Post up what you think after your test ride.

Guys, I would just stay curious for awhile. At our last event in Utah there were 8-10 Vertigos. By the end of the day there were 4 dead ones at the local dealers pits. The bikes just would not start. Every once in awhile they would start and put out a huge blue cloud of smoke. In theory they are leading edge, the reality is they do not seem to be ready for prime time.

Post up if you have questions , I changed over after Gasgas went under and the western Canadian importer became the Vertigo importer . Defiantly love the power, handling and transmission over any other trials I have owned . Being injected without a battery it takes 3 or 4 when cold ( and seemingly the biggest gripe non owners have ) . Smartest air filter and location in a dirtbike yet , excellent tucked in exhaust . Bad , tiny fuel tank so probably the shortest range out of the modern trials bikes

@mung and @sprinter27 Thanks for the posts. Thats exactly the discussion I wanted to lurk through. Ive heard both sides on the internet but the only ones Ive seen in person came with glowing reviews.

Mung is correct. Check out the Pro rider who rode Vertigo this year. He got a big fat 0 points the first day in Colorado.

Just like Ossa. Some times it does not start. I had a friend in Kansas that rode his Vertigo really well. The second time he DNFed a trials, he bought a Montesa. Never had a starting problem again.

Quite possibly poor dealer set up . How many Scottish six days has Honda won or come second ?

HRC never let Doug ride it. They never considered it worth the time.

I have a '16 300. VIN #####002. Starts every time easily. I would say my bike has had a hard life. First trials bike and a 300 was the wrong bike. Should have bought the mellower 250. I've looped it about 5 times. No problems.

Biggest dealer in the west and the importer were there - did not seem to make much difference.

There are bikes that are like that. The Gas Gas Pros had many problems. I had two friends that I sold 2004 300 TXT too. They both kept them for 7 years and niether had any problems. Most all the 2004's had bad tanks and kick starter problems. Then some riders are just blessed.
