Looks like I have some work lined up at U.Vic, and if there's any daylight left this winter, I might have a chance to ride around a bit in the wet. Any tips on Candian bike rentals?

The winters here hold about 8 hours of daylight but you will be lucky if it's dry. Victoria can get quite a bit of rain and the weather ain't the warmest.

Not sure about rentals though but if you do manage to find a set of wheels while on the Island I recommend Gold River via 19A, Tofino, or Port Renfrew. Check weather and road conditions for those destinations. From U Vic, those will be long day rides.

    Good luck.

Thanks. An 1150R for $200/day with insurance... might just treat myself if the job comes through.

Old post but relevant... Anyone know of any recent additions to the rental scene?? I'm looking to hire a bike for a 7 day trip, about 2000kms in total. I can only find Cycle BC but the prices are a tad expensive...about $1400 for a wee strom!......i'm not bothered what kind/age of bike as long as it works?

Wow. You can rent my KLR for $1399 - what's not to like about that deal?!

Seriously though, other than Cycle BC I wouldn't know what to suggest.
