Obviously not enough time. Otherwise we’d be still riding.
That 610 is a weapon, so much power down low, sounds great,
Just need a stronger hub to support all that torque at the back wheel

I swapped out the back wheel. The hub init has flogged out the seal seat. I’ve ordered another hub. I could have a go at 2 part epoxy to build up where the seal sits.

It flogged out the chain working on angles. Not a biggy as the chain looked to be on its last legs. Changed the sprockets from 15/51 to 14/46 to give the 610 some breathing space between gear changes and gain a little traction.

The Beauty of the bent Berg being built out of a lot of Toom parts means there are plenty of aftermarket parts avail. The light switch block was shagged so I was able to source one off EBay for $30. Complete plug and play and now the headlight works. Getting around to working on the little things. Shame I missed the wheel brgs but argh, you get that. This bike was very poorly maintained, actually not maintained at all. I’ll get it at least trail registered.

Where were ya? Looks dry, Pilot? We went up Mt Murra, pretty sloppy initially and some chewed up 4by shit, up the top was just about perfect with wet tracks but heaps of grip.

Seals are over-rated, they keep more shit in than out!
Packing the bearings full of grease (and regular repacking) is a better moisture barrier. (They don't spin fast enough to cause heat issues from being over-packed)
The seals are only handy to hold the spacers in place:nod
Keep the hub and I'll machine/bush it for you as a spare.:thumbup

Still in the container, gets run every now and then. Probably the most fit for purpose, reliable, toughest bike I've ever owned

Some more work done to the 610. Oil/filter change, mirror, lead acid battery back in as the lithium out of the 450 just wouldnt start it. Removed the speedo to put away in storage. The working switch block has given the headlight some power. The back wheel with 14/46 gearing is ideal. Idle adjust.

Trying to get info on wrist pin weight is turning out to be a challenge. You wouldnt think so considering weight is extremely important. I need to find the lightest pin avail then reduce some piston material.
