At this stage I'll just fill it in. No weight with the lithium.
Took the day off. 7 days a week have been getting a little too much lately. Decided to go for a ride over to Eldorado this arvo.
Started on the sub tank but couldn't continue as I didn't have the correct mixing nozzle for the epoxy. Later in the week maybe.
I have a second hand seat coming and have lined up an upholsterer to widen the foam and make a seat cover so I don't have to hack up the original.
Mortard wheels are tyred.
them orange hubs should "pop" nicely on the 'Berg...
Some Toom orange "bling" was going to find its way on the blue bike sooner or later Troy.
Received back today the recovered, widened and refoamed seat for the long distance trips. Matched with the Airhawk there shouldn't be any complaints. It's a spare seat so I am able to retain the original as original.
I cant explain why but i like this bike
Sensational looking bike ...
Not having a weekend off in almost four months, next weekend away around Jamieson should be finally a chance to give it a good run prior to a trip through the High Country in November.
Well I was supposed to go away this weekend for four days but wooses cancelled due to it might rain FFS!!!
So I went out for a local loop and a couple of pots at one of the locals.
The toffees pub, My back yard, I would of come out today,
Doing Alpine rally tomorrow, then putting Safari tank on
So I can join you if you want someone to annoy you.
Berg really stands out, love it
I haven't been to that pub for something like 2 years. It changed hands 20 months ago. Greg, not a bad bloke. I can't remember the last blokes names but why try and turn a pub into restaurant? It was successful though as it was always booked out for meals. Still I didn't mind Beechworth Brewery's on tap yesterday and I can ride back through the bush to home.
A mate with a WR is down at Clint's getting handlebars fitted. Was supposed to be going out but who know's! Not sure if you are aware of Clint running his bike shop in Myrt in the industrial area. Good bloke.
Absolutely mate, still heading out for a few in Nov over the High country. Hanging out for it.
I wondered when you said in a earlier post about a guy with a shop on his own if t was Clint.
Haven't been to him but I knew he'd gone on his own, he was at Alpine, then KTM for a short time,
He is a smart bloke when it comes to bikes. He'd done some work on a husqy I had years ago.
What part of November are you heading out?
Any time in the last three weeks of Nov. I can work around others if I've got notice.
Can catch up out there anytime though. The weather is getting even better for it.
Have a good and safe day at the rally. My wife works at the Myrt hospital and says it's a busy weekend for outpatients!
Clint has the young bloke that did the roadworthy's from Alpine working for him. They are doing well out there which is good to see. Having experience in KTM and Yam is ripe for the region plus he's a wiz with the Bergs.
My mother in law works at Myrt hospital,
Yeah ok, they'd have to know of each other.
Out for a quick squirt this arvo before heading off for a countery.
The bikes looking increadible
Gunna run a 320mm disc on Motard wheels @AUSSIEADV ?
Not really essential for 'normal' riding, but pretty handy if you're gunna get a bit crazy in the twisties (when the front wheel is on the ground!)
Yes I am Jak. I have a 320mm disc and calliper bracket from a year ago for the KTM which looks to fit the Berg. The bracket didn't fit the old KTM but kept it just in case and looks to be correct for the Berg.
I'm really looking forward to it Jak with the motards. I'm seriously considering taking it on an organised Tassie road trip in 2017 Feb/March. The seat has been sent to another upholsterer as the cover was too slippery and he didn't have 'gripper' vinyl. This widened spare seat paired with the Airhawk should suit.
