Anyone has been tried riding a <150 cc vietnam-registered bike/scooter crossing the boarders to laos/cambodia/thailand recently?

most of the info I found on gtrider/travelfish/hubb are like over 1 yr ago and the rules for boarder crossing are changing so fast

What I found is Cambodia should be okay with Vietnamese plate.
No go for laos and thailand.

it will be awesome if anyone can offer up to date info.

If anyone is planning the similar trip as i do. you can hit me up @

We might be able to work something out. Im in hcmc now btw.

    Thanks in advance

i am a vietnamese and i like the says " no money no talk" of cambogde & laos customs officers, some friends just ride through Vn - Laos with honda ss50 & cd 125t, no problem. Remember to get the certificate of import vehicle with carefully check when you reach to Laos border

    Thanks for the heads up!

I fully understand money can solve most of the problem in south-east asia
but I read something about foreigners cant enter the country now. and the scooter is not registered under my name.
    that's my major concern....
