    Hi all,

My name its Aleks, I ride since I was 13 years old and currently live in south of England. I have been siting in the shadows of this forum for a while now and I have read a lot of stories that have inspired me to start riding again after I have had a break of couple years.

People on this forum are amazing and I hope to learn more from people all around the world that share the same passion: riding a device with two wheels and an engine, pull the right hand and lean and you have a smile on your face.:ricky

My bike history goes back in the days when with 13 you were not allowed to ride without a licence back home in Romania but I still did it in a small village during summer breaks where my grandma used to live.
I have received the bike by crying my eyes out... my mother at that time was in the middle of construction with the summer house and I have cried my eyes out to all the neighbours and my grandma so that she buys me my first motorcycle.
After this episode she bought the bike for me , same colour as below 80 CC and 4 speed gearbox.

That is when the passion and the bug started for me and I was giving up all sorts of treats just to ride.
I had a daily allowance from my grandma and prior to having a bike I used to use it on ice cream and sweets or soda drinks... after the above bike was mine I used to spend all my money for petrol and used to ride it for hours and hours :rofl

After couple if years I have broken it and had to buy something road legal so that I can ride to school and I have had to go with a piaggio bravo Screenshot 2019-12-08 at 15.08.29.png
On this bike I have realised that I will always look like a Giraffe on a Motorcycle.

Fast forward and I am in the position to get my motorcycle licence as this is the only thing that I have ever wanted , I gelled with motorcycles I was looking at Eurosport at racing and Paris Dakar was the best thing after Christmas spending days watching the hero's on telly.
"I can have one" she said if I get the car one as well ( my mom this is) .. so I did... Got my first proper bike a 600 cc sport bike Honda cbr 600 ( Hrc was written on it and I will later find out that it was a race bike with street headlight) ... amazing this was... I have managed to stay alive on this bike ... it was waaaay to quick for my skill level...
Years went by and I used to buy a bike in May and sell before my Mom came home from her job abroad... Would not want her to think to much about this as she was working hard for us...
Finally the days when I was hiding come to an end... met this beautiful girl and moved into the Uk to live together with her and after 8 months I was officially in the saddle : 20160515_092006.jpg
This is Suzy 1000cc of Vtwin packed and ready :clap . Kept her for two years , 18000 miles per year winters and all sorts she was loyal and never let me down...hmmm hold on I have dropped her once on my way to view the property that we are currently living in... :imaposer, crashed the bike went to view the house and made the offer within 24h.. :D

Later I traded this bike and stepped into the darkside :D , It has always been a dream of mine to own BMW motorcycles , I remember going in Munich and going to this dealership and sitting on the bikes for ages and thinking I will one day own one..:1drink
    IMG_20170401_121604.jpg
For me it was one of the bikes that I have always dreamed R1200R loaded with all the gear bla bla bla...:clap ... life on this bike was not easy as even with tall seat I had back problems and my bum started hurting ... So it had to go... :dirtdog:becca

Only safe bet after this one was ... the big brother : IMG_20171231_151344_01.jpg
This bike is good and I loved it and done a fair amount of mileage on it...but to be honest with you I have never felt at home...seat was not for me .. to soft and although I am tall it was heavy...

Now the girl I moved to UK for is now my wife but she does not enjoy riding and I am in a fortunate position that she understands my passion and I can ride on my own, relax and enjoy the roads.

After months of trying new bikes and debating in my heart and head it was time for me to get the IMG_20191207_141900.jpg
This is now my new riding beast and I love it :ace:lobby Brand new Yamaha tenere 700 in the fastest colour available

Apologise for the long introduction but hope that it has been slightly entertaining to find out how the passion for motorcycles and exploring has :norton put its fingerprint on my life and I am sure there are people out there who would like to share their story.

Let me start by presenting you some roads that I have been on these days :
IMG_20191201_141554__01.jpg Find yourself in South UK : Please visit the roads around Finchingfield ... when wet take it easy and enjoy the curvy roads !!
IMG_20191201_130008__01.jpg The picture above is taken close to where I live... I find this part of Essex quite nice to ride and every time I have a spare minute I am out and about ...:clap IMG_20191201_141634__01.jpg IMG_20191208_133645.jpg

Parked the bike in one of my favourite spots to sit and relax... must admit it looks a lot better in the summer but you will have to live with this picture till end of March :1drink

One of the reasons I love this country.. Not perfect weather but damn good for riding 10 months a year... Canada has some nice landscapes.. Have lived in Ontario for 10 months only before returning to Europe.

Time for a short update... Weather seems to turn for the better and we could be looking at the warmest couple of days in January... 12 degrees Celsius next week...
IMG_20200104_141620.jpg Today a short ride into the unknown has brought me next to some small area with boats... Always nice to see people's passion for traveling on water...
IMG_20200104_141633.jpg Dry roads meant we can push the bike and man I'm telling you this is a brilliant bike.. :clap:clap
IMG_20200104_143501.jpg :roflon the way home one of my favourite spots to take a picture.. I am lucky to have such weather and be able to ride... :-)
IMG_20200104_141718.jpg heavy duty machinery in the back... That must way something :loco:hmmmmm

Was a brilliant day out today... Managed to get some nice shots of the bike after I've been working on the tail tidy this morning.
Roads dry and she turned 1000 miles today... Love this bike and how it handles.. As people have said before : this shouldn't be possible on such a bike but it is.
