Ta mate, as you can see I don't know much about them so any help is much appreciated. Only other Husky I've owned was a 2010 TE450 which I shouldn't have sold. I did find that site while Googling yesterday but there isn't a manual for this bike, but the info on later models is great to know. :)

I had a 96 WR360 project that I ended up passing on because I couldn't get the flywheel off, and from memory the only parts I found that were hard to get was the plastics, 94 and earlier you can get as expensive repo's and 98 and later are fairly common but I'm not aware of any plastics being made for the 95-98.

Plastics are almost as new Acerbis. Not sure what model they were made to fit but they fit well on this so I'll stick with them. I've ordered a new piston kit and gaskets so we'll see how it goes. Can't order a piston pin bearing yet because eBay is down but I will. The guy I bought the bike from reckons the problem might have been caused by piston slap, although I'm not entirely convinced.

I'd given up on the idea of riding a (non-competitive) vinduro because I struggle to kick over my IT490 but this bike may get me there yet. Not this year of course, it being a 1995 model. Thanks again :)

On the IT? Done! The decomp resets itself on the first fire, which usually isn't when the bike starts, so I have to reset it every time it fires. I can do it but it's a PITA to be honest. First world problems. It starts easy enough if there's a hill, preferably downwards. To be honest, I bought the IT as much to look at as ride, although I definitely want to ride it regularly. I just love the IT's.

I've ordered the top end bearing for the WR now so we'll see how we go in a week or two after the new parts are fitted. Idiot flinders_72 keeps forgetting to put the discount code in and has cost himself $hundreds this year, so far.

No worries, I am pretty used to being passed but it just comes as a surprise when I don't hear them coming. :D It was good to finally catch up for a chat and put a face to the name.

I really enjoyed the loop and had a ball on both the 76' DT400 (as can be seen in the pic below) and 81' IT250, so much so that I never even bothered to start the XR600.

VTR are having their last event of the season towards the end of next month in the Canowindra area and the Holbrook Motorcycle Club is running one at Cookardinia on the 19th of October.
