Used to work with a bloke from Boorowa..Bruce Boulding..
Another mouth to feed
Oh nice, thats a cool little bike
Some pics I took at Cookardinia.
I sometimes post details of upcoming VERi events in Victoria here.
We have two more for 2017, Tallarook this weekend and Three Bridges in late November. Email entries have closed for Tallarook, but you can enter at the event. More details about Three Bridges will be available soon.
Next year will be the 10th anniversary of the Harrow and we are planning a big event that is not to be missed!
Jeez - that name rings a bell but been awhile since I lived at Boorowa, i grew up on a property called Geegullalong out the Cowra rd
This little track is part of the Geegullalong Stock Route, this is where I learnt to ride & I'm still falling off [not as much anymore !]
Gotta get a DT175 back on deck for these Vinduro rides soon !
Just one of many creek crossings around there !
@hunter_greyghost ...geez your a brave man...
Bruce moved to Pt Kembla, WaterBoard job...mid 70's.
Dunno about brave - dumb sometimes
Pudman Ck on the Kenny's Creek Rd outta Boorowa had a fair flow happening that day, about .3m deep
always walk it before you talk to it !
Boorowa River on Laverstock Rd [outta Yass], thought .5m was a bit deep for 'Kenny'
I'll have to start putting a bit of this stuff into my diary, see if I can't find a weekend or two. Shouldn't be too hard finding some free time. There is an XT250 doing not a lot in my garage.
Been trying to get some info on the upcoming 3 bridges event and have had no luck. The veri vinduro website gives no info apart from a date?
A few of the club's key players have been busy with the Bonanza and the vintage class at the A4DE in Cessnock, so we have been a bit distracted lately.
The event is going ahead though, on the weekend of April 28-29. There'll be riding on Saturday afternoon and then from Sunday morning (exact time frames TBA). Camping available on-site on Saturday night.
No pre-entry, all entries taken at the event on either day.
Bikes don't have to be registered for this one as it's all on private property. However all riders will require an MA licence, with single event licences available. Minimum age for riders is 16.
VERi works on a pre 1988 format, so no modern bikes (other than officials and sweep riders etc). All bikes have to be in a safe condition, and not too loud. There should be a tail light & headlight fitted (don't necessarily have to work).
More details will be added to the VERi website and Facebook page as they are confirmed, and I'll share them here too.
It was good to watch the old bikes at the 4 day, One bloke rode modern on a it 250 and held his own too.
What Model is the 200 @darren70 ?
Its an N mate
Thanks Tex , that`s what I needed to know , basically that I can turn up and ride . No doubt I`ll find where it`s at when it comes up on the Vinduro website .
Your to old for that shit Bruce.
You better lend me the blue bike.
Best you get one of your old dungers out and come and join me .
But I'd have to check the air in the tyres.
The address is 1120 Little Yarra Road, Three Bridges. There's an apple orchard at the front, just drive down the track and you'll find a clearing at the back to park/camp.
Yep, turn up and ride. Bring some mates. Put as much or as little air in the tyres as you want.
Entry fees will be announced soon.
My it at the moment
