vstrom 1000, 2014 chain maintenance tools

    Hello,

    What size of wrenches I need to buy in order to lose axle and and adjust tensioner ?

    The axle nut is 36mm. You'll need 10mm and 12mm crescent wrenches to make the adjustments.

    So I did adjust it. Now I forgot how it was before adjustment. :)
    I tired to put 1.25 to 1.50 inch slack... now when bike is on center stand.. if I push chain up it almost touch the lowest part of thing..which runs just above the chain.
    I wonder if chain is still lose.

    When I bought motorcycle the mechanic who did safety tighten the chain. I rode bike for 5k before realizing chain need to be adjusted... after watching on youtube video.

    You do not check the chain slack on the center stand. It needs to be off the CS to check the slack.
