Its likely the chain. Test running the bike to the speed where the noise is loudest and pull in the clutch. Does the sound go away?

Did you adjust the chain recently? Too tight or too loose?

I haven't done anything, I noticed the sound when I got off the bike this afternoon. When parked the sound did not go away when I pulled the clutch.

    Best regards,

From what I understand that was true, but they've improved a lot in the last couple years. Lots of folks are using them and satisfied, for what that's worth. I haven't needed to use the brights yet so can't say how they perform, but nobody was flashing me the other night, so at least the lows aren't blinding oncoming traffic.

The new generation of H4 LEDs, where the illuminating diodes emulate the filament length and placement of halogen bulbs, seem to work pretty well. YMMV.

Yup, the newer LEDs are much better than they were- not perfect in the housing designed for halogen bulbs, but much better than they used to be.

FYI on Happy Trails. Yesterday I received a notice from Happy Trails that the center stand I ordered for my Strom was shipping. This is about 5 weeks after I placed the order, and if I receive the stand per schedule it will be about six weeks of waiting. I'm sure they're doing their best to complete orders, but get ready for a wait until things settle down, if they do.

OK so I just picked up a new Vstrom 650. I want to add a Pelican case to the stock rack. Has anyone done that? It was simple on my KLR but wanted to see how people have done it. Thanks.

I've decided to sell my 2015, 40,000 km DL650A. What would be a fair asking price for it in Canada? Sale would include: Cogent Dynamics suspension, Givi Airflow, Seat concepts seat, happy trails side racks, SW Motech foot pegs, Weld 86 skid plate, and all the OEM parts. No this is not an ad in the wrong place. I'm just wanting help assessing the value.

Have you asked over at Stromtrooper.com? It's very active, you might find somebody willing to share their opinion. :D

I'd look on CycleTrader, etc for comparable age/mileage and then factor in condition. Should get you close. I'd also return the bike as close as practical to stock and detail it before listing. (sell the extras yourself).

I received my Nerf bars and skid plate a few weeks ago. I'm thinking this weekend my finally be a good time to put them on. It's been in the high 20's all week, so not in a big hurry.

I sold my 2013 with similar mileage, comparable accessories for $5200 a couple of years ago, to a guy in Montreal. I think bikes are almost always more valuable to vendors than to buyers, unfortunately.

Adding Pelican case as top box or side cases? I'm assuming top box, but if it's side cases I can post pics of what I did.

Hey Sexy Medic, are you the one actually filming the Trail Trash series? I've been watching those for a while now, good stuff. Always wondered what part of Canada it was filmed in. Great skills doing that Trials course!

Harbor Freight sells cases similar to pelican and they are pretty decent. I mounted one as a top case for a bit, before deciding that soft bags were the route for me.

I drilled holes in the bottom of the case and mounted them using U-bolts and rubber grommets.
