She's on a CRF100F so not plated. Would there be riding for her?

Two days ago I sent a CL350 down the road with a new owner which opened up some workspace for the '21 beater. I started striping down this CT90, and found that not only is the engine frozen, but it seems to have no fourth gear. Thankfully this early CT90 K0 was a package deal with a later CT90 K0 (K0.5 I'll call it) courtesy of Farmer Chris. I may tear into the K0 engine at some point, but the prospect of making a 16 speed trail bike sounds pretty fun/ridiculous.

As I've already decided to use the K0.5 fuel tank (different- stickerage), tail light (different- bigger), and front wheel (same AFAIK), the addition of the engine with sub-transmission will really make this a Frankenbike to the trained old-Honda eye.

As she sat yesterday, ready to become the CT90 K0.25:

Today the K0.5 engine got a quick wire brushing. I finally decided to up my electrical game, and should have some 4mm bullet connectors show up this week from Vintage Connections. Honda went and switched the stator wires from male to female on the K0.5, so I'll switch the bike around to accept that.

@mylsmkj, unfortunately, there isn't anywhere to ride unplated bikes. Maybe by then she will be on a plated bike? There's 7 months to work on it. :-)

UTurn, thanks for posting pics of what you have intended for a beater. It's starting to look like 2021 is going to be the year for CTs.

Well, let's just say the Slow's are planning on being there! Hard to tell if it will be beaters or DRs. Can't picture going to Enterprise and Hells Canyon without the DRs and the trailer isn't big enough for four bikes...

That's terrific. I hope you don't stay on the fence too long and fall off to the IN list.

Putting a mesh helmet on and grabbing a pointy sword, because I'm fencing! No beater for me, but it sounds like an awesome time!

I took two years off, I needed a break but now that I'm retired I have more time to work on it. I did use the two off summers to start a Beater Bike Bonanza and I have been having a blast with it. I'm hoping combining the two will be good for everyone. When it came down to it the Log House RV Park and Enterprise is a perfect spot to do things like this. I'm going to put you on the IN list and count on you to show up. Be sure to schedule some quality time in for me so we can catch up. I know many people will be happy to see you.
