Really enjoying the report and pictures...keep posting! Beautiful area.

By the way, I was born in Cooperstown, as we're all my brothers and sister, my father and uncles. My grandparents had a grocery store on Main St. many many years ago. My mom was a nurse at the hospital. But we grew up in Sidney and Unadilla and only visited Cooperstown Sunday's and summer days when Mom was working.

    Small world sometimes.....

I plan on returning for a few days next summer. The MSTA national is in southern Vermont next June. Plan to stop up there and look up a few childhood friends, and visit my parents gravesite, along the way. They are buried in Sidney. My old friend, Pete Fitzgerald, lives next door to the cemetery. Love the area, don't miss the winters...lol

Pete's son jordin was my best friend growing up, no shit. Real small world. I spent many nights next to the cemetery at his house. I think they sold it though, but they're still in Sidney.

    No shit! Really!?

Pete and I used to live next door to each other in Unadilla. His dad was a minister at the Baptist Church. We lived next door the the Cole's in Sidney before moving to Unadilla. My dad worked at the Bendix plant there in Sidney for about 17 years. Pete still had the house next to the cemetery about 5 years ago, when we buried my parents there.

yes sir! pretty crazy! They sold the house about a year after the 2011 floods. I think they're above the hospital now, not positive though. My dad worked at Amphenol for a long time, and I worked with one of the Cole's sons at my current job.

I had to look up where Selkirk is. It sounded familiar but I couldn't place it on the map. Funny. I lived in Castleton until I was five.
