I found it strange that I haven't seen it announced here yet.

Since the customers only have two weeks to decide, or the deal is off. It would be nice to know the weight comparison. But on the other hand I can't afford it now anyway.
    It looks bloody awesome.

[Edit - not sure what happened to my post -- whole post disappeared.]

    Thanks for posting this.

    YEEESSSSS

Finally, someone is producing a bolt-on rally front fairing and nav tower for the Adventure ~!

I'm waiting for information on the rally fairing. From what I have hear, its the the same outer faring, clear windshield and tower that Team Kapriony is using. I could be incorrect on that -- Could also be me translating the information incorrectly.

They [Project LC8 Racing] are gauging interest in releasing a bolt-on kit for the ADVENTURE (NOT bolt-on for SE).

    EDIT 2

The guy running the Project LC8 Racing FB page contacted me to clarify a few things. He is not manufacturing this KIT. This is a collaboration. He used a series of companies in which he outsourced items to build this custom 1-off setup. Because he has had so much interests in people askign him how they can purchase the exact same set-up, he has offered to help guage interest. That is all his post was for.

Another company (not mentioned as of yet) will look into the distribution of the kit he mentioned in his Facebook post.

    The build details of his Adventure Rally 950 can be found here;
    https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=717567935092003&substory_index=0&id=483214661860666

Lastly, since Corky is a sponsored Rally Rider, he does not have time to handle this sort of deal but would like to help the community. There is also potential that he will no longer be riding a KTM, which could also be a conflict of interest being associated with the sales of rally kits for a competing brand.

That said I'm I'm in if they make a kit. I hope this is not vaporware! Hopefully they are able to gauge enough interest to make it worthwhile to produce.

Some photos from their FB page of the LC8 Racing kit.

Have you considered to use the OEM panels? Think they have a better design than the Corky panels. Guess you have to make your own tower anyway, so its ok if they are a little bit taller? I'm looking into do the new design next winter. If so I'll go for a bit different panels than Corkys

Thats disappointing about Corky's panels. I was looking forward to them. I've not heard anything negative about them being a bad design till now. I'm sure once its all said and done, there will be numerous revisions...

Do you mean the OEM 450R panels? No, I've not considered it. I've never seen a 450RR in person so it's hard to visualize what may or may not be able to fit back n forth. It's a good idea though.

I have the Perfect Fairing "rally" 950 panels and they are crap... The fitment was so far off that in order to make them fit, I'd need to re work the entire panel. Its as if the entire mold "twisted" during production. the one side is out of alignment by 4 inches.

Either way, will be a fun "project" to tinker with

Corky mentioned that to me through many of our Facebook conversations over the past month. I have reached out to Aurora already -- Waiting on a response for a couple weeks now.

I have an 3' x 5' sheet of aluminum that is just sitting in the shop begging to be turned into "something"... This seems fitting. I I'm going to opt for a DIY version first...

Interesting. Do you have a part number for these?

Corky made a custom underseat oil tank for this bike
**No he wont make more (I asked)

    IF money were no object,
-Relocate the oil tank to the rear
-Remove the front oil tank all together
-Add the Landmark rear fuel tanks for additional fuel.
-Use 1190 radiator with dual fan
    -Add 450RR oil cooler
( this is all from my arm chair / computer chair engineering lab :y0!)

    And thennnnn....

Follow what Team Kapriony KTM LC8 has done which is build a new custom linked rear suspension system that looks amazing.

I've not got the skills to do this myself, nor have I acquired that winning lottery ticket as of yet.

    Corky's

Isn't that just standard procedure for KTM ? it is at my dealership & KTM Australia.....4 to 6 weeks seems to be the rule rather than the exception with anything other than common consumables
