    Well done!

I laughed with Pat at the idea of looking at this gear indicator while riding!

Dirk Weisiger gave his presentation at Alamo BMW tonight. It’s already been 2 1/2 years since he rode with me and @jimmex through Mexico en route to Tierra Del Fuego.

Dirk’s offering a November group fly-n-ride to Costa Rica for those interested.

I have met Dirk and he is a great guy with great road stories. His book is also a great read. Still trying to meet up and do a ride with him. Busy man.

So, I took the family to Loco last Saturday and was less than impressed. It seems they've transitioned to being a bar first and restaurant second. It took 55m minutes to get our food from the time we ordered (the whole table got ribs) which seems excessively long for a bunch of food that they precook in large batches. Additionally, about half my ribs were dry and they were all covered in some sort of sweet BBQ sauce that doesn't compliment their old sauce recipe at all. They still serve the same old sauce on the side but it's pretty nasty combined with the new seasonings they're putting on the ribs.

The coleslaw recipe has changed too. Like the ribs, it was primarily sugar and that made it about as sweet as a coke. I'm glad I ordered water.

I'd give my ribs a 4 out of 10 stars because they're still better than Dickies and Spring Creek... but not by much. I also suspect they have created artificial wait times to encourage more alcohol consumption because they appeared to have plenty of people in the kitchen area and there wasn't a wait for seating when we got there at 11:30 that morning.

Was this a unique experience or have yall encountered the same?

Edit: I figured I'd pop in here and ask since Big Dave sounds like he's been missing my company. ;)
