Well, sonofabitch. My wife is travelling that weekend and I'm stuck with her dog, who hasn't mastered pillion. So I'm not busy, but can't take for a couple of nights.

Was planning to go but went to try HF instead. I’m trying to figure out why those crashes happened haha. I need to ride this route, looks fun.

Ok I have a horrible memory and I hope someone from Texas can help!

Years ago I had heard and seen pictures of this really cool riverbed that all the rock is eroded and super cool. It’s on private property and you have to hike a long distance to get to it down this riverbed. I was sure it was out west of Austin. Can anyone help me out and give me the name of this place.

I guess it used to be a cool destination for adventurers but you took a chance of going to jail as the property owners don’t like people out there. There are cliffs and clear water swimming holes and super cool views.

    Please help!!!

I believe you are referring to “The Narrows” between Blanco and Wimberley on the Blanco River. You will get arrested for trespassing on private property if you leave the river bed. It’s a very long hike from the nearest access and no, don’t bother parking on the roadside because your car will be towed while you are hiking to the Narrows and back, then you will need a ride to the impound lot in Blanco and pay $$$ to get your car back. Thinking of using your bike to ride the river bed there and back? Good luck with that. Best to just admire The Narrows from Google Earth.

If you google the Narrows a guy posted his experience hiking up there. He had to deal with much harder hike than he anticipated, angry land owners, and local police. Didn't sound worth it.

Hey Central Texans, my wife has a job offer in Waco. I work remotely so I can tag a long if she chooses to take the job. So how about the pros and cons of the city. I have a couple of concerns from what I know about the place but I'd like to hear from any locals that may be participating in this thread.
