yeah, yeah. the forecast is sunny and clear, hot days, cool nights. should rock. :evil

The Moon won't come up til early in the AM, it will be a dark starry night. Saturn is very high in the sky in the evening, and Mars is a bit to the west. :kumbaya

I'm Bringing a pound of really good coffee I'll put in someones pot in exchange for a spot of breakfast. Got a flask of Cazadores for the cold nights. Got a folding cooler for beer and ice that I'll fill up at the market in Kernville :deal :beer

hey, who's riding down from the SFBA or central coast Friday early ? I'm thinking of launching at 7 or 7:30am from S'Cruz... I'll probably go my same old route, S'Cruz -> Hollister -> Coalinga -> Visalia -> Porterville -> Glenville -> Kernville

Might see myself, giant and u-boat bashful

although I think we were going down Hollister -> Coalinga ->33 and across 46? to 155 or something.
I forget! I think I really should plan this route a bit more :lol3

I used to go down 33 to Lost Hills and across 46 through Wasco :photog

Now I cross on 198 from Coalinga through Hanford and Visalia, and take 65 down the EAST side of the valley, in the orange groves through Porterville, then back roads to Glenville and 155 to Kernville. its a nice route. 198 is the fastest and nicest route across the central pit I've found yet.

That would be the Sherman pass road and you are correct, it is closed this time of year. In fact I believe the 190 to Johnsondale is also closed. That is a lot of great riding we will miss. The Front door for me is the 178 to Kernville being a Ridgecrest desert rat. Have a good ride up:clap
