And we're on! This event is now open for registration.
    Who: Us weirdos
    What: WARPED XVI
    When: April 23-26, 2020
Where: Mountains and Rivers Campground in beautiful Kernville, CA
Why: Riding, camaraderie, beer and deep belly laughs (I'm looking at you @CVAN) Take your pick.
How much? $105.00 if you are staying three nights, $80.00 if you are coming for two nights.

    What is included?
    • A shared camp site. If you want a campsite to yourself call MRA and reserve one. If you want to stay additional nights, again, contact MRA to arrange. Check out by noon Sunday!
    • Beer
    • Raffle tickets
    • Stickers. Oooh, stickers.
    • Raffle tickets for the adult raffle. :evil

PLEASE NOTE: There's a vote on what to do for dinner. We can keep doing pizza OR the campground puts on a burrito bar. Let me know your preference, majority rules here. No whining, don't make me turn this car around, etc.

    How to register:
    1. Fill out this super spiffy form: https://forms.gle/s8GT6aTmKb66vFit5
    2. Pay me via paypal (sfcootz@gmail.com), making sure to specify either your ADV handle OR the name you used to register. Throwing in an extra few bucks to offset the PayPal fees is appreciated.
    3. Registration is not complete until you have paid.
    4. If you are paypal challenged, PM me and you can mail me a check.
    How to check in:
Find me. I'm big, I'm loud. I'm a girl. I'll probably be at party central in space #19. (More on campsites and availability below). If I am not at party central, go to one of our spots, pitch your tent :lol3 and get comfy. I'll be back at party central eventually to sign you in and give you any goodies that you ordered.

    Saturday night shenanigans:
6 or 6:30 ~Dinner will be served whether it's pizza or burrito bar.
7ish ~ After we've had dinner we'll get to raffling off whatever swag I have mustered up to raise money for Stewards of the Sequioa.
7:45 ish ~Back by popular demand, the adult raffle. We might only be adult shaped but we have grown up IDs! :bmwrider Proceeds for that also go to the Stewards. It's vitally important that we raise more money and stomp those nerds at Noobs. :deal Come prepared to blow your wad.

    Sillipints and shirts:
Everyone calm down, I'll have the artwork up in early January.

    The Campground:
Space #19 is party central. Camp there if you dare.
Spaces 16 and 17 are reserved for @Gerg and @Shunka and their support vehicles. These are the ONLY spaces that will be reserved for RVs. Seriously, DO. NOT. ASK.

    Thursday sites:
9-15 are open, 16 and 17 are reserved for past HDIC's, 19 is party central.
    Friday and Saturday night sites:
    6,7,8, 18, 20-28.

RVs: If you are bringing an RV, you do so at your own risk. I will not be reserving or arranging a spot for you (unless mentioned above, so come early if you want to be able to bogart a camp site (and even then, the parking may be a challenge due to the arrangement of the sites and newly installed parking blocks). It's up to you to ask people to move their tents if there is no room and you should be skilled using reverse. If there isn't space for you, you're gonna have to park somewhere else.

Obligatory mind your manners, don't be a dumbass warning.

    DRINKING:
We are here for the beer, right? This might be your first, this might be your 16th WARPED. Surely you know by now that WARPED stands for the Western Adventure Rider Party and Endurance Drinking Event. Mountains and Rivers has put up with our collective shenanigans for 15 years. I'd like that number to keep increasing and that means I need your help following a few simple ground rules.
    1. Don't be that guy - green boots. Don't get so stinking drunk that you cannot make it into your tent. If you are not normally a big drinker, don't feel compelled to keep pace with the more, erm... experienced drinkers among us. There is a lot of fun to be had without drinking to excess.
    2. If your buddy has decided to be "that guy" do the right thing and go tuck him into bed. We do not need him weeble wobbling around the campsite tripping on rocks and faceplanting into the fires. That's just bad. :nah

    General campsite rules:
    1. Your mom doesn't live here. Make sure your garbage makes it INTO the can.
    2. Glass bottles are TEH SUCK. Broken glass sucks, it sucks, it sucks. Don't be that guy.
    3. Your dog. Yes, it is cute. It is also to remain leashed or I will unleash an in person string of verbiage that will make even the most battle hardened Jo Mommicans blush. Nothing is sacred. Unless you want me raffling off your balls in the adult raffle your dog stays leashed.
    4. Poop. No one wants puppy poop surprises. Pick up after your dog or you'll find that poop under your pillow or some other creative location.

    March 15, 2020 UPDATE
This is important so please read:

This event WILL go on (pending a call with the folks who run the campground). However, I need all attendees to promise me a few things so that we maximize our good times, minimize the risk of spreading this pandemic and don't have to miss out this year.

I will request the following for our common good:
    • Take shifts as kegmeisters. This means you promise to keep hands clean and do a sanitary job of adding beer to cups. As much as I hate it, I think we need to use cups once and discard them to avoid any cross contamination. I hate the environmental impact of all that discarded plastic but am not keen to lose any of you. I may also buy more canned been (I know, I know!!!) to reduce any risk of cross contamination.
    • I am going to cap registration at the end of this week. Gov. Newsom is recommending gatherings be 50 people or smaller for the next eight weeks (This is not CSM, simply reporting the news) We're a little under that number now.
    • I will need assistance setting up a three part dish washing station at the common sink for wash, rinse, bleach dip like in a commercial restaurant setting. I'll buy the tubs if someone will tote them to WARPED. This should give everyone the opportunity to keep their kitchen kits adequately clean.
    • I will provide disinfecting wipes, extra hand soap and paper towels for the bathrooms. Hands are one of the biggest spreaders of this crap. I want to hear Happy Birthday over and over and over and over so I know you are cleaning your hands. ESPECIALLY if you are a kegmeister. Don't think I won't stand in the men's bathroom and watch you wash your hands to my satisfaction.
    • No TONGUE KISSING. :lol3
    • Dinner will be served to you. No reusing plates. No grabby food with your grubby mitts. JUST no.
    • Keep your distance from your fellow attendees. Probably a good idea anyway. As much fun as it is to share a joint or take a sip off someone's cup, NO! :thwak Channel your inner selfish dick and remember, sharing is NOT caring.
    • I'm mean because I care and because, dammit, COVID can kiss our CORONASS.
    • Let's party on, Garths .... but do it sensibly. This may not be the year to see who can get the drunkest. Let's slow our roll so we can party on next year.

    Love you fuckers, mean it.

    xo

While we are talking about RV sites...

Thanks for getting the dates locked in. I'm pretty sure Liz and I will be trucking this year. Either RV spot (when you can talk about it) or cabin again.
Let us know what we can help with.

Our planned house renovations will be in full swing April and May, so no coming back to WARPED in 2020 for me.
