Campbells Cove is only reachable by boat or helicopter.
It was a contender for the loction shots for Jurassic Park.
The chopper mainly ferries Crayfish from the fishing boats in the sounds. Chartering it for a few hours and hanging out with the pilot was a 'top 10 best things we ever did entrant'. cost us a few grand but we hired it for the whole morning, but man - he flew for cousteau and others before the aquaculture gig. he landed us in the cove and then up on the mountain tops via a gap in the cloud cover and a spur in the alps only 50mtrs wide.
You can stand on a point almost a mile high and look directly down at water a mile deep. A humbling place.

On the road to Milford Sound. There are dozens like it.

who are you? there aren't that many people that can run the linville (my avatar is from the linville gorge), clear creek is a pretty descent run too, now big creek any schmuck with a descent roll can paddle it at normal levels (with the exception of action alley, and it's not that hard at lower levels, lol.) do you ever make it over to the green? [IMG] here is my waterfall pic.

anyway i was just curious i'm not aware of anyone in the kayaking community that runs the harder stuff (west prong, green, linville, etc.) and rides motorcycles other than patt keller and he only rides motocross.

if you're intersted we are planning to kayak the cheoha this saturday then riding lots of unmaintained forest service roads sunday this weekend. i live in sylva so we'll be staying at my place at night.

Perhaps more people run Linville than you thought. I haven't been to the Green in almost two years. Five years ago, I was there a lot.

I have to go to Boone on Saturday for a work thing.

I'm tied up Sunday as well. Brown Mtn in the late afternoon.

That being said. I would LOVE to hit up some forest roads around Sylva sometime. I have been over there, but I haven't even scratched the surface. I have always been by myself.

By the same token. If you ever wanna hit up stuff in Grandfather Ranger District, I have a fairly good handle on things.

Here's one of the old lady at Boxcar Falls on the North Fork of the French Broad, Transylvania County, North Carolina, USA. She's so good she only needs one hand.

I forget the name of the fella who took the picture.

The learning curve on this move was hard for me. I ate sh!t in front of large (albeit appreciative) crowds of people probably 7 or 8 times.
