    I just picked it up:clap
    It's worth noting that when the nice dealer tells you the tyres are new and you should be careful, it's probably worth listening...

    Nice work @Oscar, always good to put that first sphincter clencher behind ya. No doubt you'll fill us in on how the new girl/boy/it/other goes once you've gotten the hang of it.

    speaking of road markings; here's some from a 2013 MMM ride. 4 or 5 dismounts iirc :fpalm

    I thought the modern electronic riding aids would save you from that sort of thing?

    Not when the idjut rider has just been given a lesson in settings, and left the traction control set on 3 (out of 10)...

    But Wait There Is More

    Some big news from the KTM Rally in Bosnia tonight...

    KTM 790 Adventure R Rally!

    Yep KTM took the covers off a new model which takes the "Adventure Harder" persona of the 790 Adventure R a step further again.

    Nick & Trudi are at this years European KTM Rally with a tour group of Aussie riders and we just saw the unveiling of this new model.

    Chris Birch had a quick ride on it yesterday and rates it very highly. Developed by Quinn Cody from KTM USA the bike is a no compromise approach.

    Features include:
    * WP XPLOR PRO Suspension - listed as 270mm travel but need to confirm that!
    * Narrower stronger off-road rims with tubes
    * Akropovic exhaust
    * Tall enduro flat seat - 923mm height
    * Quickshifter +
    * Clear surrounds around headlight for clear view and lighter feel
    * Cooling extensions on front brake hose/calipers
    * Rally foot pegs
    * Carbon fibre tank protectors
    * Cool fresh colour scheme - interestingly the fuel tank has slight blue hue to it
    * No rear rack or grab handles for a clean looking rear end
    * Just 500 units will be made worldwide
    * No mention of price or weight
    * 2020 model release

    It's an impressive looking bike and after riding with the WP XPLOR PRO suspension at the Australian launch recently we can say this is one adventure bike that really is "Ready To Race".

    The Bosnian Rally has been an incredible experience today. Look out for more juicy photos and videos over the next few days and we try to keep up with all the stunning vistas we are being bombarded with!

    What?!? Wow.

    I got an S. Everyone here thinks they need an R.

    :lol3
    Imagine your transalp with a demon inside of it. That would be a good description.

    The seat IS hard. I did two long days (500 km followed by 340km) to get her broken in. As a fat person I like the seat. Very, very comfortable.

    i remember once picking up my 600 from a bike shop after they'd fitted a new set of rubber. by coincidence, another bloke was there picking up his 'busa for the same reason. we both got the "new tyres...." lecture.

    i was busy putting my credit card thru the machine as old mate rode off. there was a screeech, crunch and silence from the roundabout outside.
    hmmm :hmmmmmyou're an ideas man oscar. i have a 765r that might have that option inside it.

    Is it OK to mention that I was suffering from buyers remorse before the thing was even delivered?
