I'm in a wedding (7/29) the weekend before Skid's RP Rally date so it kinda works out for me since I'll already be north 2 hours from home and closer to MI for that.

I think Skid said the "real" rally date would be mid-week so I'm guessing 8/2? Time to start googling and making a bit of an itinerary!

Since we are posting Shady RP Rally trip pics...

Moneypenny is no more. The keyboard player (Bruce) and I left them and joined/formed a new band. We're called the New-Matics and we're twice as good, all the players are real pros.

    BTW how ya been?

Then I want my money back dammit !!! :lol3

    Hey Steve!
    Been good amigo.
And you? Hope all is going well.
Finished up a few construction gigs last month, so I'm driving a shuttle for a property management company this winter.
Low stress ...................... low pay. :D But I do get to ski 4-5 days a week! :evil

    The New-Matics ................... I like that a lot.
Sounds like the name of a Real "Garage" Band!
Next band name should be ............. The Air Tools! See what I did there? It's thematic! :imaposer

Hey Valker! What's up in Pampa? :wave

And in closing ................. being front row at the Moneypenny gig was one of the high points of my summer! And it was a pretty good summer!
Hope to see all you RPBP folks sometime soon! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all!

They came up with the name when the bass player/band originator was hanging around the shop with the other members drinking beer. One of the guys pointed to a tool on the wall and said "how about the power drills?" Rob said that's a pnuematic drill. One beer led to another and it was the New-Matics, so yes metaphor of Air Tools, which kind of works for a group of guys using tools to disrupt the airwaves. :strum

I think that's a really unique idea. It should give more people a chance to come since they don't have to use up vacation days on two separate weeks to make it happen. Leaving on Saturday morning gives people 4 solid riding days to make a Wednesday rally and 4 more to ride home.

Thinking it would be nice to grab Niagara on this trip as well as do some UP riding in MI. My route looks like a circle for now. Just don't know whether to leave home and head northwest or northeast.
