Rain predicted anytime soon? Condolences on the loss of the beauty and trees.
Holy smokes Shady!
Keep that roof wet!
Ex sis in law just listed her house for sale about a week ago. Million dollar place. I think it might be gone.
No rain coming soon.
When I moved here the whole range was treed except one spot on Ward Mountain on the south end of this fire. Now there's hardly anything left.
Doesn't look good.
I'm west of Shadyland. Cooler temps today but quickly going back to triple digits early in the week.
Damn it! Really sorry to see that Shady!
We've had a lot of helicopter traffic in and out of our little local airport for the last several days too.
We've got a few active fires around us, but nothing like what you guys are having to deal with.
Hope there's some favorable weather soon.
You called it too ......................... said they'd fart around with it until it gets way out of hand .............. (I'm paraphrasing of course! )
Thanks again for all that you did with the RP BBQ. Great fun!
Here is a link to a time lapse video of the fire. The time covers about 4 hours. It is fucking demonic.
Sending good vibes your way Shady!! That's scary stuff, man!
This is a better link to the time lapse video, you don't have to download the vid itself:
Another scorched landscape brought to you by the United States Forest Fire Service.
BTW, Steve what IS the story on your avatar/sticker picture?
I assumed that your noggin was just photoshopped onto all the other, but it occurs to me that that may not be the case.
Inquiring minds want to know.
PS Did you ever end up with a leftover RP BBQ shirt that will fit my fat ass?
The RP picture is a head shot selfie I took. I emailed it to Browneye and he shopped it onto a Matrix picture I found on the net.
I have an XL and a 2x left if you want one.
Wish I knew how to PM you...Saw this on the news and worried about you and your neighbors.
I was ready to head your way, but Wa Id is on fire too...I think I'm headed to Summer Lake for the meteor shower going on....
Wishing the best!
Smelled your fire this morning Shady. Hope it doesn't jump the highway and head for your place. Doing a rain dance for ya.
It grew a lot last night with our wind, but moved south. Highway 93 is closed down there. I rode down far as I could to see it; quite a mess and will grant us a new ugly view.
Big fire camp below our office. Over 500 guys working the fire now.
Well @iDave didnt make it to Shady's, but he stopped by on the way through New Mexico. Some good RP discussion was had over beers. Great to meet ya Dave!
It was my first beer in quite a while. I've been on a post road trip health kick.
Indeed! ^ Awesome!
Pretty calm summer since Shady's, we did travel to New York and married off our son John! They surprised us with the news that they were moving back to Montana in September! We were so happy and her parents, not so much. Here we are all cleaned up.
