or anytime says I. I use to run Blendzall Gold label in my tricked out DR350 for the smell.
I'm all for it. Real race bikes burn oil.
First thread of course will be "Girl on an old two stroke: post your pics"!
Let me be the first...
I was not in favor of separating Airheads from Olds Cool but I am much in favor of a separate two stroke forum.
Might be a great place for me to get commentary from the collective on reassembling my Yamaha IT465.
Stop whining or you'll get your own page!
I say keep 2 strokes in the old school board, and give airheads their own spot.
rpet, care to elaborate your position?
Not all two strokes are old school.
This is what I meant by here we go again haha.
It's going to bring all the people who don't normally post here, out of the woods. Everyone's going to have a million opinions like the last time this came up.
Honestly, if anything could potentially work in a separation, it's 2 stroke (yeah I have one.) But I like keeping it all in one place. It gives me a bit more variety without having to go look around everywhere.
I have a feeling a 2 stroke forum will happen, though.
Agreed. That would create an obvious center for airhead activity while creating a lot more room in old school for other threads...rather then stack up the forum index with specialized (two stroke, rotary, inline six, flat heads, rigids, hand shifters) but lower volume forums.
RING DING ROOM
I was thinking The Smoke Stack
More of a RRRRRRRING DUHDUH DING DING DING, but whatever.
I'm all for it even though I don't even own any two strokes anymore.
The motto can be "twice as much banging"
two - stroke gas driven engines are old fashioned, the next generation will play on electro bikes, its just a couple of years and expecially the competition bikes which are the last one that still uses the two stroke engine if we are honest to our self.
So to put them here as an sub departement under old's cool is very OK in my opinion.
I've owned several 2-strokes and loved them, so I also vote for a separate forum. At any given displacement they tend to be lighter and more powerful than 4-strokes, and they were often cheaper to buy.
Rebuilding and tuning them is VERY different from a 4-stroke and it's becoming something of a lost art. We need to gather the collected wisdom of the old 2-stroke experts before it's lost forever.
My YZ goes BING...........BING...........BING.......POP............BING........ blowing smoke rings in calm air.
Away with the airheads! Go with the 2 stroke!
But still i like the old's cool sub thingie... Give's a wide view at things
Here's the ADV 2 stroke oil burning bantam!
I do not yet own a two stroke bike, but when I do I'm quite sure that I'll want a separate section for it.
