Very glad things are working out. Hope you heal up really quick.
Tim and Greg are on their way to Deer Lake for the night. Greg will drop Tim at the airport in the AM and return for his (Greg's) bike. Hopefully, Tim will be home resting by tomorrow night!
A bazillion thanks to the Newfoundland riding community for going beyond the extra mile to support a fellow rider! The breathtaking views of NL pale against the splendor of its souls!
I can't wait for the honor of meeting some of you face to face!
Should you find yourself for want of something to do, room 208 Matt provide distraction..
Stupid autocorrect..."may provide distraction"...
I thought you were offering Matt as a distraction! You are still traveling together, right?
In Deer Lake. Departing 3:35 to Toronto thence to Montreal. :huh
Wasn't worth the extra $200 to leave in the AM.
Whoever put together the Day 3 tracks south of Gander deserves a punchin the mouth. I wouldn't do those trails with a quad, a 125 enduro or a bloody tank. i wouldn't do it again for any amount of money.
More to follow when we've recovered.
So, tell me, Jacob, how do you really feel? Glad to see you survived! I can't wait to hear more about all of the other adventures!
HAHAHA!! I have it on good authority that Matt would do anything for a buck.
He and I are both back in Boston, unfortunately. Sounds like we really missed something fun on that Day 3 track.
Pics, Pics, Pics
keep 'em coming.
It has been a wet trip. Had some sun yesterday for a few moments.
Wow. Most of those tracks south of Gander show up on the provincial highway map, which means that they are supposed to be suited to passenger vehicles. General rule is: if it sucks within the first 10k of the pavement, re-route.
There's no benefit pushing a bad position.
Back at home, finally. It was a long and very uncomfortable trip from Deer Lake. Warmest thanks to MapMaster. He really pitched in there.
Jacob, Adam, Shamsul, and gang: Please PM me your full names and addresses. The RCMP insists I fill out a report.
It's hard to get good, fast service but here's what my bike looked like after.
We're headed for St. John's now... Any recommendations on a campground for a couple of days?

If you'll allow me this question: are you sure you had the correct side of your bike in contact with the ground?
We all had all sides of our bikes in contact with the ground at various times of the day (and night).
