He is here with replacement enroute. We did some touring and sightseeing today. He rode my airhead.
Have finally learned from Danielle how to post pics. My ride report is on Flairheads.org > Forum > Memorable Trips > Dave`s 2014 Adventure.
Much more to go, but a good start, while waiting for a final drive replacement to arrive.
Can you please post a link!?
Link for you Anton: http://z7.invisionfree.com/Flairhead_Forum/index.php?showtopic=539
Thanks for posting the link. I don`t know which clicks make it happen.
The final drive is toast on my `91 R100GS/PD. Found one on EBay and it will be shipped on Monday to arrive Thurs. Murph found the gremlin might be a relay. More investigation today.
In the meantime, got a new Torrance mounted at Toy Box.
I was in for new rubber yesterday too, your wheel plug is still sitting on the tire machine
I have to go there in a day or 2. Will pick it up. Thanks.
Tho`t you were out of town?
Gremlin seems to be in relays. Not making sense, but that`s where it is. Ordered a replacement. Learned more about the bike.Pretty much got my pics posted up to date.
Good to hear, I'm trying to head out Wednesday. The starter went in my car, it only took me all day today to put in a new one.
The old PD is up and running again with the next final drive. Test ride went well. Plan to leave Sat for points west.
Safe travels Dave, if you have time go to Burgeo, beautiful campground and white sand beaches.
Looks like rain to Tues, so might take Monday night ferry.
Already have a bucket list started for next time. Burgeo, Rencontre, Twillingate Peninsula when there are bergs for starters.
Thank Sara for the offer, but DNF that ride. Damurph and I rode thru yesterday. On the way down from Bonavista, I picked up a 8d nail in my brand new tire. darn it. However the plug is holding.
Am in NS this morning. Thank you all. The breakdown was all good thanks to Damurph and Tim. I WILL be back.
If you need anything while you're in NS, don't hesistate to send me a message!
I left NS yesterday am and am still rolling west
Well, just back from the ortho surgeon. Going in Weds to have the shoulder surgically reassembled. When I hit a wash-out, I don't fool around!
Wear ALL your gear! I know it's a often PITA, but I would have been a whole lot worse off if the jacket hadn't jumped on the grenade before I did.
I'm pretty sure the armor in the jacket saved me from a lot worse.
Although it ruined your ride at least you can recover over the winter.
When do you think you'll get back to NL?
Hope to. Still gotta rescue the mighty KLR.
Someone else can lead, though.
That a boy! No half measures for this crowd!
Every man for himself! No quarter asked or given!
By the way, dry and sunny weather would be heartily appreciated in 2015.
