    Morning y'all,

Is there a wear limit on the chain slider rubber? Was lubing the chain and I noticed mine is worn down into the holes of it. Not sure if those are meant to be wear limit indicators, or if the solid line underneath those is, orrrr?

Kind of a spendy piece for what it is, $48 from Max.

    Thanks!

    2010 F800GS, 40,000 ish miles.

Not sure mileage is the key here, as different chain tightness, cleanliness, dirt and grit would all affect how quickly it wears down.

I replaced mine, a 2010 with about 32,000 miles at the time. I never thought about it until I compared it to my wife's new at the time 2017 700gs. Mine was worn down to the holes also, didn't realize it had worn that much material away. I was replacing the chain so I went ahead and replaced the slider as well.

I'm in the same boat, I didn't realize how much had worn until I looked at that picture.. It's been added to the list of parts to buy, but I may just let it ride until it gets closer to chain on swingarm or put it off to a winter project.
