That might be a plus given the all too common slave cylinder failures on the Maguras on the 690/701's.

    KTM never cared about looks.
I previewed the 950ADV for Kiwi Rider at the NZ Motorcycle Show and said "...the 950's design is obviously the result of rampant drug abuse in the KTM marketing department. This thing is UGLY."

The clutch is very sensitive to free play at the engine end of the cable.
This needs about half an inch of slack.

Hate to burst your bubble there, gents, but of all the bikes I have owned, my 9fiddy gets the most compliments from non-riders.
And that list includes a Tuono.

Did you park it so they could see it from the secure wing?

Yeah, but since I have one of these, none of the big singles really hold any appeal for me:

I'm sure there'll be some dynamic refinements, and no doubt the engine is smoother, but it's not enough to get my hard-earned.

Got no idea what you mean?! :scratch :lol3 :fpalm

Looks like he could have bought a 790 for the money he dropped on that thing.

Those rally kits were all the rage on Oz a while back. Dunno about now. 790's hadn't been invented quite yet.

I would easily go for a well set up 690 like that over a 790. With all those mods it will still be 20-30 kg lighter. 200+kg Adventure bikes are too heavy period! Ok for a tourer, that's about it. A Factory 690 Adventure isn't too far away either........
