This picture raises so many disturbing questions that I don't even know where to begin.
Good hanging out and riding with you Meathead!
Meathead, great to meet you man! I particulary liked the wrestling match between you and Putts. SOMEONE POST PICS!!!! In particular, I remember a weggie and hair pulling!!!!!
There was some stuff that was slightly more disturbing.......
Putts was everywhere. This guy stepped up and I saw him helping with everything-everywhere. Great meeting you and thanks!
The guys from Grand Junction make for some fun riding!
Uli and Unaweep
Water was leaking out of the high country everywhere you looked.
Nice view at Engineer.
Viking @ speed.
California Pass. Is that right?
This is Sam. MiddleAgedMissle's son. I don't know how he hooked up with us, but it was great having him with us for two days!
GS Spirit has some Crunch Time.
The rain washed colors on Corkscrew were great!
GS Spirit making this section on top of Black Bear look easy.
Somewhere on Black Bear.
You gotta slow down and smell the roses every now and then.
This is the steps showing the penalty box.
No problem for Uli.
Unaweep on the 950 SE. He can <strike> roost the hell out of you</strike>cover some ground with that bike!
View to the left of the step area.
I've seen this area much worse. Not too bad right now.
Heading to T-Town.
The wonder of it all.
Same waterfall from the other side. (bottom of Imogene)
Visibility was down to about 50 feet at the top.
Coming down was gorgeous.
I'll get the rest of day one and day two later............
Thanks for the great pics! As always, I had a great time riding with you.
The hills are alive with the sound of music ...
Dayum! I'm heading back to Charlotte, but I am still in eastern Kansas!
Met you briefly at the Eastern Rendevous a couple months ago, bummer I didn't run into you out west. Glad to see you had a safe trip back.
I'm saving that one! oser
Here is that guy again.
HD bags can't do this. I always wondered what the fascination was with the square panners.
:huh :eek1 Uli showing his sensitive side in a cheesecake photo-op? Now THAT is disturbing!
Gordy - We missed seeing Deb!
FatWife and I had a great time! We got our money's worth and don't need no stinking refund.
Any of our money that was not spent (and any other proceeds) is apparently going to the "Make a Wish" foundation and that is good enough for me.
Thanks to Dean and Jenn for doing a great job! I well understand the effort in pulling off a successful rally and know how much time went into making this work. Personally, I didn't have any contact with Arlen so I can't make any complaints against him. Our cabin was comfortable, there was no "quiet hour" at 10pm, IMHO, the pavilion would have been too small accommodate anywhere near all the people there and Tom and his band would have electrocuted themselves had they tried to play in the rain. [EDIT: We had a bonfire in front of our cabin Friday night and all who showed up were welcome and supplied with free liquor if they didn't have any!]
We had a fun ride home. While cresting Wolf Creek Pass at about 80mph, a state patrolman coming the other way just flashed his lights at us as a friendly reminder to slow down. Gotta love it!
OK, I'll be the first to say this, just to get it out of the way: Moab 2009!
Yep, but we'd have to do it later in the year to avoid the worst of the heat.
Sorry I missed you at Silver Jack this year. I camped there twice this year already and absolutely love it.
Maybe a little later this summer after the monsoons finally move on...
Now there's a real HE-MAN !!!!!
Old mine on Hwy 149 just north of Creede
Here's what I think about caution.
Arrived Lake City, who do I see:
Putts was handing out hangovers by the bottle.
I did not stay at camp, but I had FANTASTIC views of my own at Crystal Lake camp site!! My last day, I peered over the ledge to see a doe bedding down just below me:
I think Putts should get the "Most Photographed" award??
and just a few others... Cabin at Texan with waterfall:
the view from campsite at Crystal Lake:
Thanks Jen keep the pics coming Sorry I missed it
I had a great time meeting ADV-people at the West Fest.
This is the best equipped catering vehicle I've ever seen!!!
Please, don't feed me that much next time
Good to meet you, and do a bit of riding together.
Was someone asking for this?
