I hung around Silverton, camping and riding for a few more days after the Lake City WF. On my Imogene Pass ride, I got to the top and noticed a lady climbing up the scree rock field from the Ouray side...not the trail...the scree field...and she was going fast. When she gets up to me at the pass sign, I find she's a 62 year old woman training for a Telluride/Ouray foot race of some kind. She gets her husband on her cell phone to tell him she's at the top and she's OK. Damn...I couldn't have even gotten my breath after an ordeal like that...and she's only half done.:eek1
Of the many times I've been over Imogene, this was the first time there was someone else to actually take my picture, and the lady offered to do so. So, when we as motorheads think we're pretty tough riding our bikes over some of these challenging trails, just think about doing it on foot...and being qualified for social security.
So, when I'm looking around at the top of Imogene, I notice something interesting on the old mailbox sitting on the top of the pass. Instead of "Kilroy was here", it looks like some ADV mischief was afoot. Take that, Arlen!
Well, after 7 states, 7 national parks, a burned up clutch, a used up rear tire, and a lot of mosquito bites, I made it back home on Thursday night!
I took over 2800 photos, uploaded them all (sorry about the abundance and redundance) but it thoroughly documents my trip... so I guess the large quantity of photos is ok right?
I want to thank all who came, all who helped out and especially those who organized and made this event possible!!
and special thanks to Dave-950 for letting us crash on the floor (we definitely owe you one!!! )
Jill and Marty- it was nice to see you once again, sorry we did not get to ride together this time (but don't worry, there will be another day to do so! )
Camogreg- thanks for coming with me to Gunnison, it was a nice ride that day (even if it was to Walmart to get oil to fix my bike )
Hmm.. I wonder if there is a thread for all the WF pics?
this is going to take forever for me to do a ride report on this one.. I haven't even finished my previous ride's ride reports!

All this pic posting is making me want to post up too but I have not had the time to sit down yet. Mowing 6 feet of grass. MotoST last weekend.
