This rally got it's start in Ouray as OSCAR. That year it think that it was held at the KOA campground over by Ridgeway. Then it moved to Idaho for a year. That one was held on a city park. Next it was Buena Vista. Than Sipapu, Lake City and Buena Vista.

We have always planned for 200 registered people. I think that Sipapu got up around 300. You can PM Eurobiker about that.

I've been getting lots of PM's about stickers. I have a bunch left and I'd love to get my $ back out of them (that's what I get for guessing how many to have made :baldy).

To make this easy, send $2 per sticker to Fat Tees, 115 F St., Salida CO 81201, and include a note with your address, and I'll get them to you asap.

I had them made locally and they weren't cheap :uhoh . If we raise more than they cost, I'll send all the extra to Baldy for the site.

    Duke,
I had no idea that you had those at the rally. We talked about stickers. But the first that I saw of them was in this thread.
    Sorry about that.

I might need a couple of them. I will get a self addressed stamped envelope and some money in the mail this week.
What size of an envelope would you suggest that I send over?

Just a letter size envelope would be fine, Tim. The stickers measure 3 1/4 by 2 3/4, so something small would work. I was trying to get the word out at the rally, but I didn't want to just leave them lying around. Shoulda got up mentioned them at the ceremony I guess. :shog

Clayman and I went on to Moab for a couple of days. While there we saw a bumper sticker that said: "HAYDUKE LIVES". It will be on my truck.

At West Fest I saw a sign in the area where everyone eats for an organization that is trying to keep trails open in colorado. Can someone send me a link to that organization please.

    Thanks!

How bout Silverton? Seemed like a great place to use as a home port/launching pad when I rode through a year ago.....I'd like to make another swing around the Alpine Loop, etc....

Bummed out I couldn't make it back for Westfest this year......couldn't swing the time off from work......wound up in Mammoth Lakes, CA. for the brews/blues fest instead.....some good riding in the area too:

My vote would be Gunnison... it is central to both areas....

or... we do it near Moab later in the year...

Ah, Beartooth highway. I haven't ridden it in too many years. Are there any good campsites on top?

Maybe we could do Hell Roaring plateau (I nthink that's what it's named)...

Thanks for all the heavy lifting you did to put this on Hair, I had a great time.
It is always a treat for me to meet so many good people! I got there a little late and Jody (Farscape) came over and welcomed me to the event:beer
Thanks again to Hair and every one who makes these events so memorable!

Great camping at Top of the World. Don't think they allow motorized vehicles on Hell Roaring Plateau. You can ride up there, but not across.

I haven't been up to Hell Roaring Plateau in more than ten years. When I was it was in a pickup. As I recall there was a trail head at the top.

Gawd, I love Beartooth Highway. What's the deal with the Marmots burrowing through the pavement?

I had a great time and would vote for Gunisson as well for next year. It has Hartman Rock Park nearby plus it is close to all other great rides such as Lake City, Black Canyon, Crested Butte, Tincup, etc...

Thanks Duke for the stickers,:clap it was nice to meet you and see your store also ! :thumb

:thumb And Gunnison has a good brewery... maybe we'd get a break on a kegger or three.
