Back from another incredible West Fest and I'm starting to see pics popping up around the site, so here is the place to post'em up and share with the world!

My favorite that I took was from Pablo83's ride on Friday, where Pablo, Mommer, Mountain Eagle and I rode some Taylor Park singletrack, then up and over Pearl Pass, and back over Taylor.... I'll post more soon...

Thanks for organizing a great West Fest, Hair! This will go down in ADV history as one of the best get togethers ever! :thumb

The crux, just below the summit: steep, loose, wet rocks. You'll notice Mommer is sideways here, not the most efficient way to get up the hill.

We ran into a traffic jam on the way down Taylor when the last of an 8 jeep group got stuck. The jeep is on the other side of the rock.

Man! I wish I could have made it to West Fest 2009, but plans since I came back to Denmark changed a bit.
I will be arriving to the States again on saturday the 8th. And this time not alone:evil and not dressed like this:

Sorry I couldn't return the dress I got from Ben last year, but hopefully Hayduke brought it along and gave it to somebody who needed it as much as I needed it last year at Lake City :lol3

I send the Danish ambasadors Moose and Mini and I bet they gave you all the Danish vibes:freaky

    See you later somewhere.

    The Danes are coming!!:D

A while back I posted a pic of myself on top of Flag Mtn. Hair expressed interest in the ride so I posted the route. No one offered to lead it so Hair asked if I would so he could attend. I'm a noob, but I figured if the event organizer wanted to attend the ride I'd have someone to help out. A couple weeks later Hair had to drop out because of all the work required for WF. :eek1

Oringinally 23 people signed up for this ride. :eek1:eek1:eek1

A number of other people stepped up to help out. :bowBig thanks to Geek, Stu, AZmike, and the HoseHeads Navigator (who was this again?) Some people dropped out and others joined in. I think the final count when we left was 18. The ride was a blast. :ricky

Some of us split off at the end to do Lily Pond Trail. It was slightly more technical than the previous trails:

Fantastic West Fest this year. Thank you Hair, Duke, Augie, and a score of others.

We take off Friday morning into the sun shine and head up to the north side of Four mile. Tammi is a great ride leader and we only took one wring turn. :lol3 We then ran to the south side of Four mile and up over Aspen ridge then down into Salida for some lunch. After lunch it was back into four mile and into the mud. No pictures of the mud as we were then in survival mode. :poser

    Friday Picture break.

Then on Saturday morning it was time to head into south four mile and run the 300 road, the sand wash. A great time was had by all and the sand was nice and wet and firm. :bow We decided to take a little challenge and returned on the loop coming down 185D. It was quite washed out with all the rain but everyone did fantastic and still had a good time. By the time we got back into the sand wash it had dried out and was soft and slippery. It made for some interesting slipping and sliding on the way back down. :eek1
