Fauqhier on Highway 6. It was a good place to stop.

Sad. That was an iconic moto stop on the Monashee pass route. Roger was always entertaining when he ran it. And good burgers in its heyday. Now what'll we do while waiting for the ferry?

Sad. Back in the late 70's when it was the Esso Station I worked there. Lorne's (RIP) rolling over in his grave.

I imagine that spells the end of fuel there as well. Shame.

That is sad. I drove by on Friday and it looked busy in there. The owners are nice people, I met them last year when we had to turn the water off for water main repairs.

I'll go with "doubt it". Hadn't they just got it up and running again? Summer season on the way, ferry load after ferry load.

Probably quite devastating for the owners. An inconvenience for us fuel burners.

Checked out the place on Tripadvisor... great recent photos and reviews.
I never noticed it while heading to or from Nakusp until last summer, but we just flew by it as the ferry was just about to load.
Damn. Would have been the type of place for a coffee and a bite. Not many of these Mom and Pops around anymore it seems.

On a lighter note some of us kids got out and played on two wheels in the nice weather. Oddly coming down hills was a lot more exciting than going up. Ice under pine needles is interesting. IMG_20200226_152629.jpg

How many hours/km on that 450 now? Seems to be pretty reliable.
