You’d hate it. There is no good riding here.

It's one one of the most beautiful places on Earth. A great place to live and ride. Plus probably the most bars per capita in the world, you won't die of thirst.

By the way, your ride report is one of my favorites. Thanks for following and give me a shout if you ever get up this way.

SW Wisconsin here. I just got in from an awesome last of the season sporty ride on my Speed Triple: from the farm, took tiny back-roads to Wonewoc, more tiny back-roads to Hillsboro, 33 to Wildcat Mt./Ontario, tiny back-roads trying to dead reckon towards Soldiers Grove but ended up on a great, fast winding road through the Kickapoo, back through Wildcat/Ontario, to Wilton, Kendall, county P from Kendall to Elroy, and finally, a back road to my farm. Saw not one sheriff and only a couple of other bikes.

I almost put the Triumph away empty then remembered the freezing rain/snow next week so I ran the Triumph and then a KTM into Mauston to fill the tanks to the top in case this really is the last ride of the season. Once the roads are salted, I'm done until next spring.

The day was/is perfect and I think warmer than it was supposed to be. The trees were still lovely to look at, the roads nice and dry, perfect. Had to keep an eye out for farm implements and the debris they drag onto the pavement as the harvesting is still going on in earnest. I had a combine come at me with a picker head so large he took up the road and the shoulders on both sides, and I came upon some Amish buggies asserting their right to the lane, which I'm cool with, but the disparity in speed can be a problem in a corner or just over a hill. I had one minor bit of excitement when I hit an unseen patch of sand in the apex of a corner a mile or so from home and the rear end kicked out for a split second then hooked up again. I was so surprised I turned around at the next wide spot and went back to look to see what almost got me.

    Aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh. . .
