Do you have the route together yet? Are we meeting at the shop? Engle is having the open house the same day, are you going to be able to ride?

    Times getting short.

In spite of the April fools day post, there really is a shop in the west bottoms. While test riding the new GS, we stopped there. BTW, what is the address of the shop, Lee?

The new shop that we are hoping to become a low key hangout for misguided moto-heads is at 1305 Union, just behind the haunted house district. It's primarily road racer oriented with me being the sole off-road renegade. Everyone is invited to come by and visit, open house is forth-coming! Is anyone going to be really mad if we move the ride day back to Sunday. Reason being is Engle's BMW 1200 GS test-ride/open house is the same day and I really should be there! How about it? Anyone going to send me any hate mail?

No hate mail as I will be able to be at Engle's, also. The SO is cooking hotdogs with the club there. As for riding on Sunday, I can do it if we don't start until noon or so. I told my brother I would help him Sunday morning move his sail boat. I should be done by noon.

Don't think I'm going to be able to make it Sunday. I'll be helping the SO pack up her appartment. I am going to try and make it over to Engle though.

I'm out for the ride as well. My Dakar is still in pieces in the garage.
In the middle of my 12k service, tires, chain/sprockets, Throttlemeister,
Scottoiler, etc, etc. Won't be finished until mid-week then it's off to
Engle's for some finish work. I'll be at Engle's for the open house. Gotta
    check out the new GS's!!

Won't work for me, either. On Sunday, I have commitments with the kids during the day and with my wife for dinner. Hope someone writes up a ride report. Shame Cletus' camera won't be there. Pilot, will those duties fall to you?

    Ride safe.

Well I will have to bow out for Sunday also. Family commitments and the such. Will try to make it down to Engle on Saturday though to see the festivities.

Well, if it's going to be "see ya at Engle's", look for the old fart standing behind the grill. Not that I will be doing anything, just standing.

Yes I will take my camera Sunday.

New info on the ride. We are meeting at the Waffle House in Platte City, I-29 and 92 at 8:00 for breakfast. From there, Smithville Lake, sailboat cove to help my brother pull his sailboat out and then hit the road. Should be riding by 9:30 or 10:00.

Any questions, PM me this evening. I will check again in the am.

Good photos, Pilot. Shame that my family's schedule prevented me from joining the ride.

    Hopefully next time.

    Ride safe.

Next time is already scheduled. May 15th, we are doing a GS ride/campout at the quarry most of the pics are shot at. Overlander is in the process of writing a book about GSing and is going to be teaching tecniques on the rough stuff. More info to follow in another thread.
