    Is this still in bounds? I've found 2 different cemetery's both are out of bounds. Maybe my Google skills are wrong? If you go back to the first post in this thread the boundaries are everything West of I. 77 in NC.

    Based on where Doug lives I’m thinking it’s this one

    Jay found it
    Now somebody needs to tag it
    It's not that hard to find
    If it sits too long I can provide another clue

    Tag

    Took advantage of newly open gates to put the tag in a spot that has been off limits for quite a while.

    Was the gate from the Parkway open? I took the Parkway to the tag and planned on going out to Bent Creek. Much to my surprise the gate was closed.

    In my ride yesterday I found many places still gated.

    I had the same issue, for some reason the gate from the Parkway was closed, maybe a different group of rangers control that gate since it is part of the Parkway and not the Forest Service road system. I don’t understand why it was closed since the gates at both ends of Bent Creek road were open, and the gate for Wash Creek road was closed as expected. It was a bit of a pain to do an up and back on Bent Creek but still worthwhile.

    Great tag. I have thought about using it before, but didn’t want to get whiners about how it requires a quarter mile of actual offroad riding to get there…..

    LOL.... I went back and forth about that also. I thought to myself... would I ride my Concours up there, myself said yes! But if anyone gets to this spot and doesn't want to do the last .25 then they can park right here and take a pic.

    I remember not whining. Led to the DR650 purchase, probably not too many people get influenced to buy a dual sport from a tag game. Thanks for that tag back then Mike, opened up a bunch of new opportunities for me.

    It took 3 tries, I kept being turned around by high fast water.

    From the first page....

    =====================================================================================

    Rules
    1) Six hour time limit to post a new tag, this means from the time you post up your grab, to the time you post up your tag. If you fail to post up a new tag, then you forfeit your grab. (There is a little leeway on this, just don't post it the next day. Lets keep it moving)

    2) File photos can only be used to make a new tag, you cannot use a file photo for a grab.

    3) You should try as hard as possible to make your tag photo match the original, this means try to put your bike where their bike was.

    4) Hard to find tags are fun, but lets keep them within reason. Nobody wants to spend an hour or two on the Internet trying to figure out your tag. Post additional clues if others find it necessary.

    5) The first to post the picture to this thread, gets the grab. It doesn't matter who got to the tag first.

    6) A working link to a picture is fine for a short time. It's sometimes hard to post a picture in a thread from a smartphone. (believe me, I've tried) If you post up a link to a working picture, then it counts. Please remember when you get back home, edit your post to show the picture, not just a link.

    =======================================================================================

    I don't see anything there. That said..... personally I wouldn't make it a habit to place tags in spots that a street bike wouldn't go. A little spice in life is good thing once in a while!

    Tag.

    I was going to tag the white Isuzu that was abandoned up at the top of Martha Sundquist, but someone finally towed it away. All of my other good pics were across the border, so I will make it an easy one.

    The depth was not good, but the velocity of the flow was really impressive and made it way too dangerous.

    The other creek crossing is at the bottom of the trail that drops off of Buzzard Roost road, just past the turn up to the tower trail, the one that is covered in big round river rocks.

    When I finally did do a creek crossing on my way back through Martha Sundquist, it was way deeper than normal. I got out in the middle and had water splashing up over the tank. At that point throttle is your only friend, I gave it a good handful and popped up the other side in a huge cloud of steam.
